Wombat wasn't just disrupting game play. After he repeated the same nonsense 3 times, I told him to stop spamming. He immediately became abusive, not only toward me, but toward everyone in the room, including a GM.

notice the time delay in between what I said...each one a minute in difference. The reason: I was enjoying some Wesley Willis and was simply going with the song. This is not abuse. Notice how these people try so hard to screw with people that don't agree with camping the skull room. If you all are the good guys, I'd hate to see who is actually going to be evil. Play the game, create a counter strategy and stop crying over a brief interruption of your slow climb to level 99.

Anyways if people are complaining because Wombat won't let you camp then go lvl somewhere else or your going to have to deal with it.. That's part of role playing. Nothing against the rules either.. Atleast I don't think so.

If it's about abuse such as insults/and vulgar language, i'm pretty sure there's words being exchanged BOTH ways. Btw the only one I saw in the screenshot was "loser".

Wombat...is an aggressive person with ideas of his own. I neither dislike or really like him for any reasons.

However, I tend to side with him on the whole camping issue...no one here should be lvl 99...no one! The 'dark three' semi-botted their way there...there is something wrong with the game when we actually have the limit met. Just so you know...I am not being jealous here or really care...I dont want to be lvl 99. Why ruin the fun of the new releases?

role play is when everyone in the game agrees to play the role they choosed together... and assume is position in a guilde, a clan or so on... tmw is no role play in this way guilde don't exist so it is monsters against us.
reasons why people spend there time helping others and so on.

so i ask a question (another) : do people has to leave the game (quit tmw and not come back anymore) if they are not happy with Wombat's type attitude like insulting and so on ?

Yes a GM was there and did not do anything gratz to his control on himself.

well Wombat's attitude type are bad as they are done this way.

Wombat think of the consequences your words and behaviours have on sensible, sensitive persons you can destroy people like this. To me you are a danger to a part of the community. I am not alking about you thought chars of 90's and more but youngster people or people who just come here because it is a nice art work and they have fun and spend their time with people they appreciate and start learning a lot's of things (and even as pateame becomes art pixels).

i make someting from 10 % to 20 % each level in skull room and ?
i see people going around and they never annoy like you do with insults, provocations and always conflicting

if you have some problems go to speak with the persons directly, STOP harrasing and laking of respect to the others

redefine the game at the entrance if it is a pure roleplay game based on conflicts and change the rules because right now this is not this game but a game of monsters against chars.

please have those conversations on irc together and stop annoying players in the manaword.
there are on irc channels for this i think and if not it should be created.

If we're raising questions like this up to the debate, then maybe we should ask if young children should even play this game. No one guarantees this to be a safe game for children, and no one really can. If parents want to protect their children from in-game influences, they should show them to a different game. The Internet has never been and never will be a safe environment.

I watched today as a character who is usually quiet, understanding and helpful, get called a twit, and an idiot.

I have to agree, this is unacceptable behavior. I prefer we settle on a better, less offensive, yet still apt term: human bots. While you may not like it, it's the truth.

If you want to play by standing in one place, you can try. But if someone, anyone, decides to mess with that style of "playing," you better be prepared to re-organize and not come running to GMs.

If it's only someone taking away the skulls, or pulling the mobs away, the GMs really have no place there. There are no rules against that so... Nulla poena sine lege.

I have to disappoint you here... Your main "enemies" here are a group of people who forgot that there's something to play here. I guess they forgot they're supposed to be testing this game, too.

However, that particular tile in the skull room has been the most thoroughly tested spot in the game. Even more so than some of the sitting spots in towns.

But I digress... The point is that some of them haven't played in 90+ levels. You can't expect them to suddenly learn how to play now.

What do I find offensive in this whole situation? The fact that a group of people suddenly decided they own a particular part of the map and that they dictate their own rules in there. Anyone who doesn't conform is insulted.

So, you're offended by being called fascists? Well, let me give you a quick history lesson. A fasces is an ancient Roman symbol, an axe tied together with white birch rods. The symbol represented power and strength through unity.

The ironic part is that this metaphor is even more appropriate for the people in that room than anyone of you considered. The "axe" is the highest level player, standing in a stack of "rods" strengthening his XP. None of you can deny since that's how the XP system works, and you can't deny standing in one spot, either. After all, that's what you want everyone else to do.

That brings us to the next part of the analogy - fascism. The doctrine of fascism supports a system ruled by one party. In this case, those standing in one place try to rule the room. It's your own problem if your mind raises negative connotations with the mention of that ideology. The definition still applies, just make sure you ignore the political references.

If you still feel offended, I might have to invent a new word for you then. You are, of course, free to argue that definition, but not with empty words.

To end my little essay, wombat role-plays. You, who have spent most of your in-game lives in that room don't even play. Which is why you wouldn't understand.

There is no winning in a MMORPG. If you want to play a ranking game, I hear Tetris is quite good for that, it even has proper high-scores.


So, once again, I implore the developers to re-design that particular room. Not only has it been a cause of great conflict, but it is also one of those places that don't encourage actual game-play, quite the opposite.

Break the symmetry, don't allow for regular spawns, or create a random killer spawn. Whatever, as long as it forces the players to actually play.

While I do love the idea of war (obviously considering Avalon 's concept)

but we do suggest that player antagonists create a quality experience by organizing villain groups, which can launch assaults on other players (Aethyra), kill steal, drop steal raids (TMW), overcharge and mislead newbies, bully, provoke and generally attempt to antagonize players into action to defend their interests against the villain's.

Drop stealing and KSing are just scummy
