Ow, I've read the first half of the first page and on another day the second page. Sorry :-/ What I wanted to say with the maya temple is that it's only 4-sided, but it has more than one height level - like a combination of a pyramid and the sketch yosuhara posted on page 2. The pyramid in the sketc...

Ok, there will be a scripting language - that's nice! You could have one editor where you can create scripts, build the map and set the object behaviour. I don't know if placing NPCs / events is supported in Tiled. But what I was supposed to say: Will moving NPCs, monsters etc. be handled as events,...

We already made trees, stones, water and some of the other things on your todo list for the woodland tileset. you should focus on the stuff we haven't got yet. Unless of course you think that you can make something that looks much better than the existing tiles. You're right, but I think I will mod...

objects, NPCs, monsters etc.
Hi, I have a suggestion for the handling of all kind of non-player stuff in tmw. I developed some small games with RPGMaker2000 some years ago, and I really liked the system how it works. You build your world out of static tiles (some non-animated and some animated, but they all don't move). Then, y...

thank you for your effort. what you got is a good start, but there is still a lot of room for improvement. Thanks! I know that there's much to improve, that's why I'm posting this stuff here ;-) the grass is just random noise without any real texture. it looks more like a velour carpet than real gr...

You're good, just over-inspired; what else ya got? (And i personally like how you show progression of your artwork... wall->vine wall->vine wall door... i do that often too.) Currently I'm doing nothing more than doing something with my girlfriend and playing Unreal Tourmnament. Before, I used RPGM...

You should join #themanaworld or #tmwdev on IRC and speak with a person nicknamed tobiasgall A forum message / an email would be better, because I'm in irc very infrequently. My adress: tmw (at) tobiasgall (dot) de About the size: I think it's a 1on1 map, so the size would be great for sword fights...

SoM like village tileset
I recently created a village tileset in the style of Secret of Mana: http://tobiasgall.de/misc/village.png I took the colors from SoM to keep that nice & friendly look. It currently uses 16x16px tiles (I thought tmw uses 16x16 tiles), but I will create a 32x32 version, too. Any comments? [edit] ...
