The HP and MP recovery icons look terrifyingly like something that rolled out on a Hewlett Packard desktop. Gives me the willies. (I work in IT, and we use HP machines. I tire of the big Plus signs all over everything).

Does this mean the tactic of "One player hits the monster and leads it around while another player hacks it to death from behind" is over with? If so, poopie. That was an efficient way to kill 'em.

It's a binary thing.

A byte is 8 bits. A bit has 2 states, 0 or 1.

So 2 ^ 8 = 256. Computers start counting at zero, so it's 0 to 255.
