That sounds more like a plausible race. Have you timed any benchmarks for how long the battle usually takes each way?

45/X/1/1/65/68 isn't going to let you take any hits lower than 20, and although it may be quick in between swings for large X, the critical edge with 68 isn't very high. On a related note, why are the per-round spawn notices implemented as NPC speech bubbles, rather than map-global broadcasts to 29-3? With group XP bonuses as high as they are, it's no wonder it's so prevalent. Imagine a group of just two clones controlled by the same input. Assuming they don't get into situations that would leave them overwhelmed, each monster takes half as long to kill...and both players get the same amount of X...
