Re: F--k y-u Romashka (sensible eyes an children don't reed

Just to put it out there, I invited a test run just now, and it turns out Romashka is utterly incapable of getting any damage to stick on me. So that's one more perk of my lifestyle, if you're willing to put up with the baggage that comes with it.

Re: Undying Thoughts (A series of observations)

Actually only one and a half, but close enough. (Wrong helmet.) Which makes a perfect segue to a post I was planning on bringing up at some later point anyway. 3. Avatar If there's one thing that stays constant in this game, it's that players come and go a lot. Particularly on the going side, there'...

Re: Undying Thoughts (A series of observations)

2. Benchmarks After a level up, one of the first things I do is go over my combat benchmarks to see what's changed as a result of the extra stats. Benchmarks are basically a series of battles against all the different high-end monsters to see how long it takes me to beat them, how many of them it ta...

Re: Undying Thoughts (A series of observations)

I already have to commit a bunch of points to luck on account of the current monster variety. That doesn't leave much left, so my accuracy's not going to be that good anyway. Figure that an extra point of luck is good for 3 additional hits per 1000 swings, while an extra point of dexterity is normal...

Re: Undying Thoughts (A series of observations)

1. Yeti Math The first time I took on the yeti quest battle minigame, I was in a group of four players. The other three all died in the first seven minutes, leaving me to protect Cindy singlehandedly (assuming, like so many things in the game do, that the hand with the shield in it is all tied up an...

Undying Thoughts (A series of observations)

This topic, first and foremost, is my scratch pad/manifesto/stream of consciousness on various components of the game and what the light of my perspective casts upon them. Whenever I feel like it, I will post new entries here talking about the quest of the month, or an underdocumented element that's...

Re: world-shift spell clobbers player's choice of soul menhi

Okay, so let the warp back stay at 9-1. But does it need to follow that up with a forceful activation of the soul menhir there (instead of recalling whatever the player's previous setting was)? My thoughts are that since there's currently no free travel to Nivalis from anywhere, and no free departur...

world-shift spell clobbers player's choice of soul menhir

When you world-shift (#alonzialonzo) from anywhere other than map 28, it sends you there and sets your designated respawn point there as well, to keep up that "If you die in map 28, you die in REAL LIFE!...er, well at least you don't leave the map, that's for sure!" charade. The problem is...

Re: Suggestion: Make a Warp at Dyrin to Easter Island

Is that map ever going to be good for anything besides blue slime farming or picking a 1-on-1 fight with a fallen with no distractions?

They even put a cave map on it, which I don't think ever served any purpose even when the original quest was running.

Re: Large Screenshot...

Especially in the horizontal dimension, screen size isn't the bottleneck at these dimensions--the server-imposed draw distance means that anything beyond 14 tiles in each direction is just wasted screen space.

The top exit is at 220,111 and the bottom exit is at 221,119 (with another underpass just a few tiles up).

Re: Opinions on 012-4

Terranite strikes me as being a bit more dangerous than a zombie, but nothing too hard to handle...at least until it's part of a swarm. Disregarding the ease with which you can run away, it appears that three terranites are an even more deadly force than three JackOs. The fact that their current spa...
