Re: players sitting on other players
So the ignore feature is client sided. Unless it moves to the server side, this is impossible.jaxad0127 wrote:And how would that be determined? And how would we stop the client from doing it?
In the end, ok, I can live with the power-sitters.

Re: players sitting on other players
I'm not recommending anyone to be banned for abuse because they sit on me. My suggestion is that a player must not be on the ignored list to be able to sit on another player. Anyone may sit on anyone. They don't need permission. They only need to meet the requirement that they are not being ignored.

Re: players sitting on other players
The suggestion was simply that if I choose to ignore a player, the ignored player could not sit on my character.

Re: [GM Review] [BAN] DarkDragon for botting.
Forum readers don't have all of the evidence, but it does look like DarkDragon was banned while he was responding to a GM on the botcheck map.

players sitting on other players
My only 'The Mana World' experience with this issue is on the Eathena client. Some players are bending the rules relative to abuse by sitting or standing on a sitting player. This can be interpreted as an intimate position or an invasion of personal space. I remember a time when players could not wa...

We need GMs that enforce the rules, not "lawful good" crusaders.

A particle effect sounds like a great a idea.
Party players could help a dying team-mate.
PVP'ers can gang up on the weaklings.

Re: TMW Aethrya or w/e?
Sometimes http://server.themanaworld.org/online.txt returns zero users online. But, then I refresh and, kaboom!, 71 users online.
I imagine both tmw and aethyra are equally simultaneously popular and unpopular?

'Light Blue Cotton Shorts' are darker than 'Jeans Shorts'
I'm not sure is this is a bug, but when equipped, 'light blue cotton shorts' are darker/more saturated than 'jeans shorts'. Additionally, the icons for each item appear to have the same color. I'm seeing this in the 0.0.28.1 client in both Linux (Ubuntu 8.10) and Windows (XP SP3). edit: "I'm no...

All I saw was Tenche's desktop wallpaper. Was there a bug somewhere in this thread?

Damis, your current avatar occupies 8225 bytes. Your current signature pic occupies 40113 bytes. That's almost 5 times the amount of information required to tell us that you are 'Damis(tm)'. :p

Re: Stuck Somewhere ?
A command that has the effect of suicide can be abused to immediately relocate the player to a location closer to their desired destination. I agree with the effect of the command to 'unstuck' the player, but there should be a time penalty to prevent abuse. Plus, '@suicide' or '/suicide' should be s...

Anna, for posterity's sake, please do not post your screen shots as low quality compressed images. As someone who wasn't present during the conversation, and has no verdict on the outcome, ;) it is extremely difficult to figure out what is the 'grief'. Try the PNG file format and preview your images...
