Re: Double Hook Knives
I'm sure there are tools for such a process, however, it is much easier just to use GIMP to do all your work. GIMP allows you to save different formats, convert, etc. It's a good program, fairly powerful, and it's FREE! If you only use windows, I believe it's available for it. Although, if you aren'...

Re: Rules clarification about multi-playing
Yes, I understand why people do this, I have never done it myself, and I never had a desire to do so. I thought that the inventory limit was a boundary that was an additional challenge, it forces you "clean house" of the items that you can easily obtain, and horde the more valuable items. ...

Re: Law and Order!
I don't think that I would want TMW to be a pristine utopia, it just isn't realistic. Just like in life, as in TMW there will always be jerks, and if you implement a system to help regulate those that may break rules, and that system becomes too complicated, then you will just end up replacing one e...

Re: Law and Order!
what about a jail map, or section that problematic players are sent to? They would have to pay a fine to a NPC in order to get out, if they can't pay the fine, they are forever exiled! GM's could be on patrol, instead of wearing their GM baseball hats, or their overlord crown's, they could wear a ha...

Re: KILT
hahah, yeah that's exactly what I did! Like I said, it's something rough that I "mangled" up. pretty much something I did just to generate others ideas and creativitey, far from anything that is ready.

Re: Several Questions Pertaining to Development
okay, I can do that for you, I will try to get it done within a day or two...still I have questions of how you want it to be formatted....I can make a .xml file defining the sequence, and a png file no problem. I am not sure if you want me to add to the current npc.xml file so that it will link to t...

animated treasure chest NPC
This is another thing I threw together using the current treasure chest NPC graphics....I think it probably have more frames, the animation doesn't look all that great....but here it is anyways.
once again, do with it what you please, feel free to add, modify, constructively criticize etc.

KILT
Since I noticed the male players don't have restrictions when it comes to attire, ie. you can equip a skirt, I thought it would be nice to make a kilt, base upon the current "skirt" graphics.....this is just a rough thing I mangled up, there is no sporran (that little pouch that resides in...

Re: An Event for Computer Programmers?
well, I regard your interest in science and math, and encourage your pursuit of such interests. I unfortunately I don't think this is the proper forum for such things. There is a broad range of people that play TMW, and I imagine that a lot of people may play the game as a substitue for their own re...

Re: What books or class can I use to learn better how to code?
i know this isn't much help, but you should start with some references on C++ that is what the game is written in, the scripting language is Lua...(The code which defines how the players interact with NPC's....formally eathena...browsing the source code, you won't see much lua, since the game is in ...

Re: Several Questions Pertaining to Development
jaxad I appreciate your reply to my question, and that link that you posted was the link that I was looking at previously. However, that article, and your answer don't help resolve the issue that I was having. I let this thread sit for a while in hopes someone else may answer it more thoroughly, but...
