Error compiling 24 on Feisty
Guichan is 6.1 dependancies installed as instructed in the wiki. Can anyone see what I'm missing? Thanks! paradoxfox93@93420:~/tmw-0.0.24$ sudo ./configure checking for g++... g++ checking for C++ compiler default output file name... a.out checking whether the C++ compiler works... yes checking whet...

In fact, I'm going to go out on a limb here and propose that the curve should be completely flat: characters do not gain in power. Instead, a character becomes more finely customized with play; building up a character is something like building a TCG/CCG deck. All builds are theoretically balanced,...

I agree that it could use a little more color. I didn't want to overdo it though maybe I went a little too scarce with the brown or the smudging nullified it. Also I think I ended up wiping the prominent brown out before I posted it when I was trying to make it seamless. Still, I was kinda going for...

Walking on water
So I was reading in Wiki about how they would like to see a swamp of some kind. More specifically about ow maybe it could be some kind of marshy area we could walk through. If this were designed, how could we create the effect being in the water without drowning or 'walking on water'? I thought mayb...

Hey that looks awesome. Yeah it might look greyscale but it's not. There is quite a bit of brown in there actually. Again, I do know about the floor, I just haven't worked something out for that. I think I'm going to continue designing it as a brick house with a thatched roof So a floor isn't necess...

As a beginner you should start with simple pixel-art techniques. This will better teach you the basics of shading based on light direction. This will help you, for example, to understand why you can't use the same tiles for walls and for floors. By the way, we already got an almost complete tileset...

Castle Tileset
Tilecount: 8 Currently working on: window So I'm messing around with building a castle map using gimp to draw my own brick tilsets. S far I've got 5 tiles drawn (two of which are just inverted tiles). I was going to post the tileset but the transparency got jacked up apparently in the making of a si...

Everything seems me to operate around combat. If we're going for RP I seems me some social classes would be appropriate as well: Diplomat Politician/Noble Lawyer Arbitrator Salesman Bo'Sun Maybe some more. Seems kinda off the wall and difficult to impliment but certainly something to think about. I ...

Where do I find the currently used maps?
I want to load the currently used maps into tiled so I can look at how they're built on the layers and such. I think it will give me a feel of how to build what I have going on in my head at the moment. I've dug through the files in my installation and don't see anything that jumps out at me as a ma...

TIled -Pixel height locked when 'importing'
OK, So I'm trying to get the hang of tiled. When I try to 'import' tiles as per the wiki guide the height is fixed at 35 and when I go to paint the tiled on the map i have 3 pixels of black above every tile =/. IK it SHOULD be at 32 but I'm note sure how to unfix and change the tile hieght. Anyone k...
