Re: Window 7 graphs
I've posted this a few times long ago but I thought I'd chime in again to help out anybody who may be running Windows and reading this. OpenGL drivers for Intel / ATI chipsets are broken on windows, especially Intel. ATI does better but the extension support is crap. If you're running Windows, any f...

Re: Remembering 9/11
You're right. Nobody said we had it worst and I'm not claiming that we had it worst. What bothers me is when someone takes things like this lightly. It's nothing to take lightly and in a thread like this there is no room for jokers. It's even worse when individuals like yourself downplay what happen...

Re: Dragon Ball Z is gay
I agree that Dragonball Z (and the rest of the Dragonball franchise) is a very badly written anime, but I am not aware of many homoerotic undertones in it. When you are searching for some really gay anime, this is a good starting point: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/HoYay/Anime Aww yuck, ho...

Re: Remembering 9/11
Anybody who would take the events on 9/11/2001 lightly is cold blooded, heartless and cruel. I don't care what country you're from, 3000 people dying in a terrorist attack is a very big deal. And it wasn't just a couple of planes crashed into a tall building. The WTC stood for global capitalism. It ...

Re: Dyna, Dimond and (~_~#) got banned
"Abuse! Abuse!" Wow... if I had a nickel for every time I heard that. Ultimately, in any community that requires some form of moderation there are going to be those that get upset when decisive actions are taken against them. Just because you think that a GM is abusing their powers doesn't...

Re: [WIP] Docks
I this thread is somewhat old but I wanted to note the source of the tiles that we were using. They actually came from Inquisitor's tilesets from RPG-Palace (http://www.rpg-palace.com/artists/xpexterior.php). They are not under a creative commons lisence but were used with permission. I just don't w...

Re: UI is buggy.
I have an integrated ATI Radeon HD 3200 (office pc) and you want to tell me, that 2d sprite game needs a better video card? Are you freakin` kidding me?!?! Btw, where tmw.xml is located? Hate to break it to you but OpenGL drivers for almost all integrated GPU's are Duck (although nVidia's tend to b...

Re: soda ( im thirtsy we need it :)...)
Actually I'm not upset about that -- you moved on as did we... Life goes on... ;) But meh. You know my thoughts on lots of items that don't fit, don't make sense or are just downright useless. It's great that an effort is put forth to create new items but in all honesty is coke really a necessary it...

Re: Particle fx program (request)
Don't know if this was already mentioned but if the program uses code from TMW's base (which is under the GPL license), you are required by the terms of the license to release the source code to your program under the terms of the GPL license. It's not an option as it's a derivitive. Of course, if i...

Re: A question on programming style - global variables
You said it -- there are a number of sections of the code that are already like this. Somebody who's not completely and intimately familiar with the code can very easily get lost.Fast-forward 5 years and you end up with an intangible mess where it's impossible to understand what's accessing what.

That's a total understatement. I have to admit that I enjoy going to cons myself but that image shows someone rediculously obsessed with the 'look who has the biggest sword' game... jeez...

Re: Add special chars to the GUI...
Languages that do not use the typical Latin characters will require different font faces (e.g., Hebrew, Arabic, Russian, Greek, Chinese, Japanese, etc.). I don't know how many (if any) TTF fonts are avaible for these languages that would be clearly readable in a game although it's definitly worth lo...

Re: Lots of images
I think the ultimate point here is that while they may be available for download on the internet, they are not free to use wherever anybody wants. It appears that half of the images are from RPG Maker XP and the other half are from Zelda and several other commercial games. I come across similar issu...
