Re: Menu Music (Front End)
It is a very calming and gentle piece. But... I wouldn’t use it on the log in screen though, as no one would want leave it! As such, it might actually be better suited for a credits screen, everyone would stay till the very last contributor’s name have rolled...

Re: Maybe this piece
I think (could be wrong) that this has been performed by keyboard, maybe then tidied up velocities and timing a little in the sequencer, but chances are that it was played straight in depending on the quality of the keyboard performance. What I like the most about this, is that the miminal approach ...

Re: Maybe this piece
Hope you don't mind. I evened out the levels a bit and exported as 128Kbps .ogg format.
This is really nice piece - Very nicely done! I imagine the downbeat nature to suit a run-down kind of slum town...

Re: SFX licensing and authoring
From the sounds of it, seems to have been licensing and ownership problems rather than crediting concerns which you've encountered before. However, if your software is GPL also, I would say don't be overly concerned with it. Once it's produced under GPL it's fine. If it turns out later that it is an...

Just that, when I tried to attach to the board, I got a message saying that it could not be attached as the board's attachment quota had been reached...Matt wrote:...space shouldn't be a problem.

Menu Music (Front End)
Hey all, Was going through some of my old Mana World projects and came across a short piano version of a larger peice that I had been working on. Was thinking about its use as a very short, looping piano peice when players first launch the game and are selecting their character... http://www.aasifch...

Re: Different Music
There should be some sort of music change when you engage an enemy or something. It would be pretty cool. No i dont know how to make music for games like thjat but i would like to help. Any programs i would need? In agreement with Goku here - chances are, in many areas, you'll be jumping between th...

Re: [WIP] Some SFX
I'm very new at making sound effects, so I definitely need to work on my technique. Hey, it's a very good first attempt. My first attempts weren't great and I'm also relatively new, just started looking at this around the beginning of the year. But I happen to have a wealth of good texts on h...

Environmental Sound FX
Thought I'd create a thread by category... Going through the list, I have a burning fire effect recorded recently. I think I read somewhere that the means to implement environmental location based sounds is not present at the moment. But hopefully, if and when it is, the sounds will be there. If thi...

Re: [WIP] Some SFX
I created this whilst trying to make a swing ound for the sword, but I'm not sure if it sounds exactly like a swing. Poison FX is good. The swing sounds more like a connecting hit as there's a thud in it... (see attached pic) deleting this portion that's highlighted will take away the sense of impa...

Re: another musician
This is a nice idea certainly, but I think raising the complexity of the music implementation in this way is unnecessary when there are more fundamental things to be addressed? I read somewhere that there is no coding that allows enviromental sounds that can be 'pinned' to a tile or area, such as wa...

Re: another musician
For the forest sketch, I'm not sure how I'd go about putting in rocks, but I can try to add wind. I will have a finished version of that piece by the weekend. lol - sorry, I meant about putting these effects for the mountain track. Crumbling rocks would suggest that you're near a cliff face on a mo...
