Re: what programm
You have a 1px pencil tool in GIMP and you also have support for layers and alpha transparency in GIMP. The only things on top of that you might like to have are live animation preview and live tilability preview. I have seen Gimp plugins being mentioned for just these things, though I have never h...

Re: Can't compile TMW with TMWServ support.
TomMan71, if you copied over everything (including the eAthena compiled files) you have to clean your directory before compiling again. For instance with: autoreconf -i ./configure --with-server=tmwserv make clean make And you don't have to copy the source directory to build against tmwserv, you can...

Re: What changes during a 'state change'?
Well, Jaxad left in a debug message as usual. :P printf("State change: %d to %d\n", oldstate, state); (http://gitorious.org/tmw/mainline/commit/11b3ff85e9dc8f39ddcfdff511c6340b899ba414) Nothing you have to worry about, but if you are curious; what the numbers mean: http://gitorious.org/tmw...

Re: TMW Client Patch
Insert unicode chars in chat (ported from qoal patch). <-- See if it ok as it is. Huh? I have no problem with writing unicode chars in the chat. Is this a linux only problem? It's unicode shortcuts in chat window. Keys F2-F12 allow enter different unicode symbols. For the official client I would ra...

Re: [DIS] release1 level cap
Instead of cutting experience gaining completely for wide monster–player level gaps the gained experience could get progressively less instead. That would encourage players to move on, but still reap some benefits if they decide to explore that level of content more. For multistep p...

Thank you for the explanation fate! Now we just need someone to take care of the sticky thread.
I’m personally not going to miss them as I’ve never really checked them in the first place.

Re: can't view stats page
Personally I have no knowledge about this, so assuming Turmfalke is right: Please add a short note in the news subforum wherein is stated that the stats have been taken down, preferably with a short explanation (what most readers would wonder is if it will come back in some form or other or if it ha...

Re: Who is the best player ever
Not now maybe, but a year ago, yes quite hard to reach 90+ levels. TMW seems to get progressively easier.

Re: [WIP] Archer NPC
It looks good fate! :) I especially like the non-MPS0 pose (as you coined it) and the hair. As for the bow (it’s at an angle/rotated, hooray!) and the hand holding it, I see nothing wrong with it from a grip-point of view, though as the (pixels of the) hand does not extend on the ou...

Re: ToDo list for TMWServ Beta
I agree with EJlol that we should do it properly this time around, not only with graphics but also with audio, scripting and translations. Music and SFX guidelines (both need some tender care, imho) Scripting guidelines (non-existing currently, and the very language itself needs to be tweaked, imho)...

Re: Playdeb beta launched
Well, I forgot about this thread, but Bjørn made me recall it when he mentioned PlayDeb (which is in Beta 2 currently) on irc. The latest TMW client is available on playdeb.net (only 9.04 Jaunty for now). You can either install it directly or add the playdeb repository and use your dedicated ...
