and here is the bleached tulip (plus a very minor alpha adjustment on the leaf)

Re: Tank top
Dr Wahl,
valid point. To sharpen mine a little, though: I would not be commenting if the male and female versions had the same `issue'.

Re: Tank top
Hi, apologies for a `me-too' style message, but the female version-- while artistically very good-- has the same problem that the female version of the leather shirt has: it tries to make its wearer look `mainstream-shallow-sexy' (or `Britney Spears sexy' as a friend of mine put it) with no concern ...

Hi, sorry, I had completely forgotten to post two graphics I had made some time ago: tulip-yellow.png rose-red.png I'm not sure if either of them meets the quality requirements (suggestions are welcome, of course, though I don't expect to have time to continue on them for a while), but it would be n...

Re: New particle effects
Hi, Vink, I chose red because I seemed to recall the `protect' spell in some Final Fantasy games using that colour. The effect is inherently monochromatic, and I am not sure that I want to change that; I could try some other colours (darker red, brighter red, or something completely different), thou...

Re: New particle effects
Crush, I have added the effects to #305 as part of the v2 update now, xml files and images. I've also included two re-creations of your pentagram special effect (used for summoning). Unfortunately, the `protect' special effect is stuck at the location it is cast to by default. I thus updated the par...

Re: Bots and Macros!
The `best' way to do this is to allow supervised learning on the server side (I don't really know what models computer games tend to use, but some of the standard solutions from Russell & Norvig should do fine here); thereby the monsters will adapt to the players/bots and improve their strategi...

Re: Bots and Macros!
Hi, more advanced monster AI is a good idea, but note that bot heuristics may be able to get around that (though this will be noticeably harder). The `best' way to do this is to allow supervised learning on the server side (I don't really know what models computer games tend to use, but some of the ...

Re: Bots and Macros!
Hi, It is impossible to stop botting/macroing. There are ways to make the game harder for `people who are doing things that people with ordinary clients cannot do', but all of these thing either require intense human interaction or can be subverted. The problem with botting/macroing is that it is te...

Hi, CJK support requires more than just output font support. Apparently there is a CJK input patch (that falls back to XIM and some Win32 input method I haven't heard of) for libsdl floating around at http://sdl-im.csie.net/ that might do the trick, but I'm not sure if it requires client-side suppor...

Re: New particle effects
Hi,
some new particle effects for the next revision of #305:
EDIT: The `protect' effect now goes in the other direction, since the `end-of-protect' effect (not shown here) goes downwards.

Hi,
Good idea! Please try http://mantis.themanaworld.org/view.php?id=333 and submit a report if it works; I'm a bit tied up at the moment.

Re: BLACKLIST!!!!!!
Steve, 1. How would this be "easy to abuse"? What sort of abuse could come from this? I don't know who has write access to your HMC clan pages. I have no doubt that you and Dave and Vink and most others I can think of would be quite cautious when it comes to adding people there, i.e., only...
