To prevent a monster from fleeing you can use group hunting tactics. If you give it the ability to flee make it likely it can flee from an individual requiring cooperation for effective hunting. In the current version of the game I see little use for it a multiple player RPG, I welcome any challenge...

When I first saw the cave lamps I immediately thought of Link and the lantern. Perhaps there can be pitch black maps that can only be seen if lit up. It has been said elsewhere but I'll say it again, making monster drops environmentally appropriate is a good idea. My only concern is that there is already a great variety of food stuffs and we have a limited knapsack and while I suppose I could just sell those cheap but healthy foods I would rather...

What the hell is going on? When i started Mana with the character "thue" i didnt think about a secure password. 3 weeks ago i logged in and found thue completly naked. No more weapons, no plaitemail, hats, helmets, chaps... Only left some food and money. Just had reached lvl85...Very sad ...

To avoid permanent death why not just make it increasingly expensive to stay alive. Like using more and more life extending potions. Gives a higher level player a reason to get off their butts and work, and gives them an outlet for their largess. I am a advocate for permanent death but it should be ...
