Re: Land of Fire TMW is online!
Well, there's a slight problem with that: gravity. The level of lava in tubes that are connected below will always be equal. And, ignoring for a moment the lava in the chasm below, a volcano would need a much larger solid area around it - otherwise the pressure would burst it. And, in order to get ...

Re: Land of Fire TMW is online!
The lower of the two lava regions in the left walkable area, and the island near the north bridge, have upward walls with lava on the inside. Ah, those are actually small volcanoes. Orange particle effects will be added to simulate spewing lava, as well as to the rest of the lava tiles, to mask mos...

Re: Land of Fire TMW is online!
Thank you everyone for the kind comments.
There are no columns, you're walking above the lava, those are actually re-designed cave entrances, below where the players will be walking. Look closer.o11c wrote:Er, it doesn't make sense to have lava in the middle of those columns.]

Item names
I hope this is not being too picky or anything, it's just something i've noticed and haven't seen discussed here yet. When we pick up, say, an apple, for example, it shows in the chat box "You picked up a Apple". My suggestion would be to change the first line to just "You picked up&q...

Re: Offensive, or just plain stupid? (POLL)
Personally, i'm neither offended or do i think it's stupid, hence the option for indifference. I just wanted opinions, and as i look at the poll, i can see that some one was indeed offended. I'm not trying to make any points, or by any means do i mean to make any derrogatory remarks about sexual ori...

Mrs Solo all alone
This happened right before the server's harddrive went kaput, and for a long time, Mrs Solo was all by herself in there, the whole Mana World was hers for about 30 minutes. PvP was very quiet then, lol. You can see in the chat box that there was only one player online.

Offensive, or just plain stupid? (POLL)
I saw this player the other day and couldn't stop myself from taking a screenshot. Now, because i don't want to be picky about every little thing, i chose not to put this in the abuse forum, because i wanted to know your opinion first. Also, if you really couldn't care less, there's an option for th...

Re: Uncalled for
#1 - I didn't discuss, i reported. #2 - When i try to attatch the images, i get a message saying the files are too big. Altering the size will make for crappy resolution. #3 . "Us people" should be treated better by you people, not that we're doing you any favors, but i think you should be...

Re: little hint on training in the mountains
To me and as well as others, i'm sure, a complete run in the mountains means going to all dead ends, (Pachua, spider-webbed cave and the infamous dead-end). And, of course, surviving coming back out. Also, if the dead end is packed with snakes, too many for one player, the suggestion is to gather a ...

Re: Suggestions for Devs and Artists
I thought about it, and came to the conclusion that it would just be better if it doesn't retract anything, because, if its moving with the arms retracted, as soon as its hit, it instantly springs back to its original stance, and in my opinion, it would not look good. Either the hop, or a walking mo...

Re: Suggestions for Devs and Artists
I can imagine how he moves, but the top needle of that monster is a bit to "wobbly" IMO. Just looking at the sprite I don't know if its even strong enough to attack a maggot. My impression differs from that of EJlol. To me it rather looks like the monster can either make its spikes flexib...

Re: Suggestions for Devs and Artists
I like the spiky thingy. Animating how it moves around should allow really creative bendy and rolling fun or alternatively hilarious hopping. Would you mind illustrating that one a bit more so we could push it into production? Especially how you imagine it to move around, attack, etc. Rotonen, here...

Here's my iteration of the Veneficus Leach, again, using MS paint. I'll have to
try out Gimp next to use better color shading.
