Re: Which linux distribution are you using?

lsb_release is limited to Linuxes which support the LSB (!) I don't have lsb_release on my system. I'm running Arch Linux, 64-bit. $ uname -a Linux epilopter 2.6.29-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Wed May 20 06:42:43 UTC 2009 x86_64 Intel(R) Xeon(TM) CPU 3.20GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux $ cat /proc/version Linux...

Which linux distribution are you using?

As i'm working on an install script for multiple tmw versions and distributions, i want to know what are the most common used distribs to support them. If you can't find your distribution in the list, please post its name below ;) It would be also very kind if you would write down also the version o...

Problems with new translations

Here is what i found in git version from yesterday: Maybe calculating the with of the strings is possible, so the dialogs could expand if needed. http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/3668/tmwscreenshot29c.png http://img517.imageshack.us/img517/1518/tmwscreenshot30c.png http://img359.imageshack.us/img3...

Re: Aspire One again

I don't think they have the actual client version in repos, so basically you are at the same point as now;) Only difference would be that it should be easy to obtain a working development environment, so you could compile latest client more easily... But i never used Fedora, so i cant tell anything ...

Re: Aspire One again

 WTF?

These are things your package management should take care of...
I don't know how to help with that, because i don't have the distro...

On your side i would consider searching for a howto or blog describing installation of another "real" distrib...

Good Luck with that!

Re: 0.29 Stats and outfits

+1 from here.
I never played one of the modded clients, but the ability to switch a complete set of armor/outfit with 1 key would be very, very nice to see in game. So when work is already done, why don't use it?

Re: Aspire One again

Humm - okay. Seems you have the C Compiler installed, but what u need is the C++ Compiler, named "g++". (You can also look in Terminal for with by entering "g+" and hit TAB key twice, like with gcc before) (For me on SuSE, the package you need is called "gcc-c++"). Plea...

Re: Aspire One again

Try open a terminal, enter "gc" and hit the TAB key twice. This should offer you a list with all commands starting with "gc". You should see something like "gcc" and "gcc-4.3" (or another version number) in the list. If you find that, gcc ist installed. please...

Re: My resignation from being TMW host.

I don't agree to that. It is possible to take over the accounts, so do it. I would miss my Char, and i don't think i'm alone with that. There is a wipe coming - ok, but it has technical reasons, that explains it. But two wipes after another? Whats next - one wipe each year? You think there is too mu...
