Re: [WIP] The village of Saltern
Hello, here is a small picture composed of some tiles I made (middle cliff, one side each, grass, some stone things with some sort of hieroglyphes on them). clifftest.png This isn't too refined yet and it might have perspective issues, but I just wanted to share and ask if this is the thing to go fo...

Re: [WIP] Some Monster Proposals
 I'm glad you like it but I agree with the need to make a spritesheet first. ;) I'm currently working on the fly (well, easier things first ;)) and some other stuff, but I also considered making the cat a statue.. Perhaps not a monster, but I thought it might fit in the village of Saltern , lik...

Ok, that sounds really good!
And thanks for explaining, now I can start working on it, hope I can post something to look at soon.

Re: [WIP] The village of Saltern
Glad you could use that. I'm not sure if I understood everything correctly (I'm not english), to sum up what I understood: You'd like to have tiles that fit the current woodland tiles but have some sort of stronger decline/cliffs without looking to regular. Would it be ok if it would look a bit diff...

Re: IRC channel
Freenode? I just installed XChat and joined the dev channel - these are my first steps in irc, never chatted using this before, so I decided to first read the instructions and informations. I chose Freenode and it told me to register my nick, so I red the attached link and also the information about...

Re: [WIP] The village of Saltern
I like the idea, too. Concerning the tileset, I started to make some grassy forest tiles but was not sure if I should continue since the current set seems to be redone right now and I didn't want to interfere. So if the project of your village would mainly be stopped due to lack of tiles, I'd love t...

Re: [WIP] Some Monster Proposals
Thank you, that was really helpful! I'm currently working on the fly to try out animating this (always just drew fpf animations in flash before). I also reconsidered the potential use of the cat and had an idea for a quest that I'll post soon in the appropriate forum. Concerning the limitations of c...

Re: Some Monster Proposals
Ok, that's what I wanted to know, thx. So it would basically be sufficient to limit myself to a selection of colors, I'm doing this anyway, so no problem.Seradest wrote:

Re: Some Monster Proposals
Thank you! I appreciate your opinions. Yes, the color scheme of the fly might be a bit soft, but hey, it can glitter you to death. ;) Depending on where it could be needed, I could also adjust the colors to something dark (I red about a graveyard that is planned (?), so perhaps a doom fly with batte...

[WIP] Some Monster Proposals
Hello, I'm new and I'd like to help making some graphics. I have used my day off to create some monsters (and my avatar ;)): Here an idea for a dragonfly. I imagine it as sparkling a bit, just in this metallic way real dragonflies do, glittering a bit. I thought something like that could make a nice...
