Oh my, what a trip down memory lane lol... Var you've always been such a pal, in game at first when I was such a noob, and then in forums, on IRC or anywhere else... I miss you man! My only regret is that we never could get a time or place to get a beer together!

Re: Art licensing and usage against the copyright holders ri
You can keep the wyvern. I license it as CC0, so that GPL isn't a problem. It would have been nice to have been asked, or at least notified about it : seeing my graphics in game was all i wanted when i was trying to contribute, and it never happened as long as i was here. Now it seems some of my gra...

Re: Knit Cap
I'd go for a dyeable version. There's also the stuff the has already been said about perspective, shading, and outline :

Re: Female hair style
I like it too. For it to be really up to snuff with the current hairstyles we already have, i think it would take some minor fixes : a bit more contrast maybe, slightly darker outlines, the shading could also probably be improved a bit, and some more anti-aliasing on a couple of frames, maybe less d...

Re: [FND][REQ] Rings, Ingots, Uncut Gems
I know it's marked as finished, but i stumpled upon that one and took another stab at it, just for fun. If that's an improvement, i see no reason why not to update the players' graphics data with those when the next update happens. The gem is made of pure green tones to be dyed. ari_ring_without_gem...

Re: [WIP] Flask Of Blood + Ice Cube
About the flask : use less colors, avoid at all cost the automatic gradient tool. If it's glass, you can use stronger outlines to make the glass appear better. One or two white pixels nicely placed can also add a nice glass effect. You can also use more space, the 32*32 square is bigger than that. I...

Re: [WIP] Japanese interior tileset
Sure i plan to add entrances, exits, stairs, and pieces of furniture, beds, tables and stuff... It might take some time though, cause i also started to think about the matching exterior tileset... Thanks for the suggestions.

Re: Piano & Bench-Fringe Tiles
Hi Podling I like that piano a lot, nicely done. Maybe the color palette could be reduced though : On little elements like that one, using fewer colors can really help to get a "cleaner" look. I'd also use a directionnal light based shading, instead of the point light i believe i notice on...

Re: [WIP] Desert Cliffs Tileset
About the grid-killing, we're working on variation tiles which should help a lot there. Len actually did some very nice tiles that i intended to use for this tileset : LenDesertTiles.png Adarias had also made some nice desert ground tiles : AdariasDesertGround.png I also had a try myself, just for p...

I'll keep working on that. It might take a while before the next update though. Meanwhile, any palette suggestion is very welcome.

Re: [WIP] Desert Cliffs Tileset
@Bertram : I believe this last one i made is really better than the previous one, but it's hard to judge one's own work. From the various comments that have been made about it here, i can't even tell now if it's any good or not... I know my work is not good enough to get into official content, but i...

Re: [WIP] Lava cave tileset
Hi skipy, thanks for the feedback. I'm surprised you prefer the first ground tile i had made, i find this one much better, still griddy as you said, but i prefer its texture. I'll see what i can come up with "mixing" those two. Here's a little more to see, it's just some testing, i'm not s...

Re: [WIP] Lava cave tileset
I'm not forgetting about that. Here are new versions of the ground and face cliff tiles i came up with looking at how they do it in Wesnoth. What i have in mind is two versions of the tileset, one fading in darkness, another one with lava instead.
