Re: Event: Hunt the Hungry Fluffies VI

Thanks Rill! Guess, my score wasn't exactly best this time, but still, I like this event. And I really like some winners weren't mages. Finally, yay! =)

Re: The Best of ManaWorld you wish came back

EJlol, interesting. Has it crashed on non-existent emote ID receive? And were you experimenting with protocol on purpose or found it by chance? Speaking for myself I've once found real server crasher (noobs are lucky). P.s. and client crash warrants next time I'll be with debugger attached :P. Jes, ...

Re: The Best of ManaWorld you wish came back

As for "worse than pateame", dunno, I wasn't there to compare. Yet I like team preferred project wellbeing over petty vendettas. I had private chats with both. Both were fun to some extent. And at least both got idea of eA protocol and ways to creatively (mis)use it. How many TMWTians can admit sam...

Re: The Best of ManaWorld you wish came back

That's why I've got idea these days someone like MadCamel would've ended up as banned person, labeled "known troll" or so. You see, (allegedly) he caused quite some trouble when "event" happened (I dont have solid proof who's behind whole thing). Desperate GMs were spawning jacks in Tulim (noob area...

Re: The Best of ManaWorld you wish came back

Exploiting the #_&$ out of the server, protocol, quests, and damn near everything. The TMW devs were absolutely wonderful and instead of banning me they invited me to contribute! This was common practice and how TMW gained developers. The good old days Yea, and I've eventually learned how to crash ...

Sounds hardcore. I've once survived candor from round 1500 when everyone else died. But whole thing alone? Oh wow!

Re: The Package Appears To Be Corrupt for 1.8.12.8.apk

Hmm? NaCl is a restricted runtime environment once supported by Google Chrome (i.e. web browser) to run binary programs in a way similar to native applications - but inside Chrome. Someone (Matto?) even used this strange thing eventually. It somewhat sandboxes and virtualises OS though, providing vi...

Re: Clort [AFK Botting]

Personally I doubt Clort actually botted using automation on purpose, at least knowing him a bit I'd be quite surprised if he did something that simple and dumb - and I know he can use clients in quite exotic setups. Yet, from formal point, botcheck failed. And if someone got something to say, let's...

Re: Funny Quotes

Rill, I'd say itens are very useful. When someone noisy runs around and yells something like "iten plz!" you can finally grant their wish, literally. I'd say itens were quite funny invention of some ancients.

Re: Future of IRC Network

At very least I'm not-so-pleased to confirm: Freenode dropped my nickname/cloaks/accesses/etc. At this point nickname t3st3r in freenode is unregistered and DOES NOT BELONGS TO ME. Everyone named like that IS AN IMPOSTOR. Oh, wow, even TMW been wise enough to take users DB from platinum as it's like...

Re: Ingame warning messages

Livio, there're many kinds of performance (and whatever else) issues you can have when it comes to software development :P In this particular case I think it more or less like this: server requests to show some non-existant effect or so. Client attempts to find it to no avail, hitting worst-case per...

Re: Ingame warning messages

I would not really trust it :alt-8: Personally I believe in a way where bugs are sorted out. And hopefully it showcases why debug tab can be chatty - but so damn useful. How else you're supposed to catch edge-case performance problems, to begin with? Oh, do hardcore grinding in profilers spending t...

Re: The Mana World on Sourceforge should be updated

I'd say SourceForge been nasty enough to make it into my adblocker. So I get BIG RED WARNING before trying to visit it as it's "malvertising site". This said, SF still provides some extra visibility - and also apparently gave up malvertising habits after mentioned scandal. So if someone can do it, I...
