When you ban a character, always account-ban him...
if he creates more accounts, do an IP check and ban him again.
He/She will quit it eventually.

FIY, banning IP addresses is more useless because:-
1) You can request an IP change.
2) If you have dial up connection then you've got like 10 different IP's.

It depends on how "long" you can actually hunt... while doing bats you have to hunt longer... whereas for slime you need lesser time (If you're lucky and getting nice drops). I'd recommend bats cause they have high drop rates. Almost every bat drops a wing or tooth... sometimes a dagger or...
