That seems a little bit bleeding edge for a live server. That's like running out of CVS.In the long term my prefered replacement would probably be a client-integrated editor which allows players with mapper status to directly change the map and commit their changes.

Actually, I'd like to point out that just because Java is portable doesn't mean it is ported. I still have tons of problems with Java on x86_64. I can't for the life of me get the map editor to run. This is not to mention the fact that any Java VM I can use must be a binary run through x86 emulation...

I've seen lots of talk (on the wiki, irc, etc) about expanding the world to be a lot bigger, and I'm all for that. But I'd like to see the starting town to become a lot more developed. Like say a merchat that sells cactus drinks and things like that, the miner that sells the miner gear is great, but...
