Re: serious proposal to make ManaPlus the only official clie
While many of the established players use ManaPlus, you also have to think about the new players. The ManaPlus client has a lot of features which are very confusing to new users (like that cryptic bar with letters and numbers on the top of the screen). Before you make ManaPlus the official client, ...

Re: [WIP] Port City
I really like the bottom of the mast matching the red color of the hull, really nice.. -about the trapdoor: I would keep just one for the final version, at the moment the deck seems too packed and in the future we'll be able to have different boats just changing some elements, eg. hull's color, trap...

Re: [WIP] Centaur redraw
Updated current progress with upper-body redraw. added first sketch of front/back view to fit with new body size. Horns were removed to simplify redrawing process, but maybe we can put something different as antlers to get a "deerman". About weapon, it could be included as an accessory it...

Re: [WIP] Snowfield Minor Revamp - SnowTrees updates
lol, really I didn't want to be polemic I was just exploring TMW licensing policy :)..it looked just strange to me that a CCBYSA has been refused as you have just said the 2 licenses are really closed.. and if in the future a project similar to TMW will adopt both GPL and CCBYSA licenses it will be ...

Re: [WIP] Snowfield Minor Revamp - SnowTrees updates
That looks really good; it has my approval. when I'll be back home I'll post the tileset and the .tmx file However, it was pointed out to me (I was being unobservant again) that you have put the license as the CC BY-SA. All TMW's graphics must be licensed under the GNU GPL. I have no problem to use...

Re: [WIP] Snowfield Minor Revamp - SnowTrees updates
I've finally found some time to work on the trees..so here there are the modifications: Snow-Oak: - V-shaped snow-line; - more natural dithering. Attachments: comparison (start, start+v-shape, start+v-shape+rand-dith), snow-oak PNG, FND pixel tag (that could be used when the work will be considered ...

Re: Snowfield Minor Revamp - SnowTrees updates
It is indeed an improvement, but when you allow me to give some constructive criticism for the future.. your advices are always welcomed Crush ;) I got what are you talking about, however problems come out when I have to shade gradients that are few pixel large. Here randomizing pixels becomes hard...

[GIT] Snowfield Minor Revamp - SnowTrees updates
I've made some improvements to the SnowTrees used in Snowfield, Nivalis and other maps. SnowPine: - now the snow cover better fits TMW-pixelart style, (no more soft gradients); - more defined outline; - the shape now shares the same perspective correction made on the uncovered Pine; - minor pixel-cl...

Re: [REQ] Wolf Monster
much better pateame, keep on..
I would suggest just to lenghten the upper canines as teeth looks too similar each other.
And it would also add a monster touch to the creature.

Re: [CPT] Alchemy Skill Expansion Pack
When some of the more interesting crafting facilities are well hidden or in dangerous areas, it could make the life of a crafter much more interesting. I am thinking about things like crafting magical items on an altair in a monster-infested temple. Players who enjoy crafting are usually from the e...

Re: [CPT] Alchemy Skill Expansion Pack
for the crafting, it should be possible to do simple crafting anywhere, and advanced crafting after interaction with an npc, whether the npc is a workbench, forge, or chemistry set imo. Mmhh, I think that it would be better choose just one of the 2 options to keep things simple. Btw I don't like wh...

Re: [CPT] Alchemy Skill Expansion Pack
First off: welcome back, hal9000 :D ty ;) I personally think alchemy should be one of a few trades or job skills that players should be able to train and increase their skills in. other trades would include such mmo staples as: agriculture, mining, medicine, smithing (turning various ores into usab...

[CPT] Alchemy Skill Expansion Pack
Hi guys, it has been more than one year since I published my prototypes #001 and #002. During this period I was busy on obtaining my master's degree in chemistry and on moving from Italy to Australia. Now that my situation is more stable I can keep contributing to the project. In the meanwhile I've ...
