Re: Pixel Art Tutorials?

Much appreciated, I think I've taken those tips onboard already. I suspect that anything else regarding colours is going to fall down to experimentation. There is another query I have however. Apart from the Factors of 32 are there any other tips to drawing tiles? The reason I say the factors of 32,...

I know it says 20... it just doesn't ...look that way, especially when making a small map.

Pixel Art Tutorials?

Hi, Just wondering if anyone has some pixel art tutorials. I'm putting together my own tileset...and I have a -65535 to my drawing skill. Specifically, I'm looking for guidance into cliff faces/ walls and the basics at the moment. Currently...my first map looks oh so monotonous. I've only drawn abou...

Re: Tileset-development [Solved]

I'm finding that as long as I design the tileset accurately, it makes more sense to switch in some cases...much like having multiple palettes. Although this thread is marked as solved, if anyone wants to take a shot... What does the "20 Tile border" mean. The diagram looks like 1 tile rath...

Ah, that's handy. I can stick to those limits quite easily anyway.

Re: Tileset-development

Excellent. Now to get back into this...tile-set...stuff. It's been a while and I was a newb back then too. (Can't draw for toffee).

Oh yeah before I forget. Thank you! :alt-9:

Re: Tileset-development

So there are no height or width limits?

"Tileset size: Width: 512, Max height: 512 (for 1x1 sets) " <- Is this a fixed size or...?

...I'll load up pinta instead.

Seems like .png and any software can be used.

Tileset-development [Solved]

Greetings all, The Wiki is, all gung-ho on getting maps up and running, but we're missing a tutorial on how to make tilesets. I can probably do this in Gimp and just grab a sledgehammer, but before the experimentation starts I'd like to know if there's anything I should be aware of. If someone could...

Re: Socks/Proxy

Okay... this clearly isn't working for me >.<; So I'll leave the socks thing aside for a while until I'm more familiar with the networking behind it.

Re: Socks/Proxy

... Simpler to understand. (But I still haven't got a braincell to process such information). Hm, my problem is that isn't understanding the protocol I'm giving it. However the SSH Tunnel clue does lead me to another potential lead (so thanks for that). How would I tell the client to ignore the IP's...

Re: Socks/Proxy

I can port forwards all day (forgive me, but I don't entirely understand the portwarding process), at the moment I have a remote server (LAN) whereby I access it using 192.168.x.x, with (I believe) the three ports forwarded on my router. But I'm not certain how the client connects and where those se...

Socks/Proxy

Just a quick question, but can I get aTMW to work through SOCKS? I'm just after a yay or nay answer so that I don't spend hours trying to a fit a square peg into a round hole.

More to the point... how does one edit the client settings?

Re: Error Couldn't connect to remote host.

At the moment, it doesn't mention localhost or 127.0.0.1... I've switched em all to 192.168.1.64. I haven't the foggiest if I've port-forwarded correctly either! Secondly...where are these main config files? Protip - Put the config files in the conf folder...not buried everywhere else? (Found some i...
