Re: Proposing a new (Ubuntu) packet description for TMW

Hm, in Matt's version the main differences seem to be: + a change to the description of main vs. alternate servers (I react to "days of additional fun" - just days?, and "maintained by the developers" - the developers of what, as opposed to the other servers though) - removal of ...

Proposing a new (Ubuntu) packet description for TMW

The Mana World uses 2D graphics and...

Re: Call for translators before 0.0.30 release!

I have lots of spare time now, could do something to finnish translation, looks horrible. :? E: Do I have to translate the words between <> and after / etc.? Are you still working on this, Paake? The originally linked fi.po seems unchanged atm. You can generally safely translate the things between ...

Re: Mana/TMW Development Weekly Summary

As a representative of the press, I heartily endorse this idea! I have advertised this thread on the Manapress blog ( http://manapress.wordpress.com/ ). Will continue to provide irregular, mangled and strange summaries of any topics brought to my attention here! :) I also think this thread serves a ...

Re: New skills in the game

The speed quest gets my vote as the most annoying quest I've completed so far. You revamp your stats, then run half-naked through caverns of stacked snakes organized neatly exactly outside the necessary exits by your fellow players (and you, if you never thought to spare yourself this beforehand), a...

Re: Connection Problems

The connectivity problems went away last night; I'm not sure if anything actively done actually helped or if the moon just shifted to a new phase. But yay anyway! :)

Re: Connection Problems

Platyna says MySQL is alive.

Arphetic (and pwet if I understood correctly) was online about 10 hours ago and cannot connect now, and the complaints of not being able to connect started 9 hours ago.

Re: Connection Problems

As an interesting side note, I've been trying to add the website for the BR server for a few times now, and MediaWiki keeps telling me it can't open a socket once I clear the captcha for adding an external link. (The non-captcha-requiring edits earlier and afterwards all went through fine.) OoooOOOo...

Re: Connection Problems

I'm also on Ubuntu with both official and patched (manaplus) client, newest versions to date. Can't connect to TMW with either. It seems connection problems aren't tied to routing (traceroute goes through fine, web and IRC services work), location (we're all over Europe), operating system or client ...
