Re: Poll: Should admins post a specific player's info public
blackrazor, you misunderstand something. If I wanted to post your specific information, I would have done so. You repeatedly say we should delete game data (which I assume means characters and such). Naturally, this includes your data. I noted that you have not logged on in a while, and offered to h...

Re: The official server-move flamewar topic
At this point I say just wipe both servers and nobody can complain about who owns what. +1 Are you requesting that we delete your data from themanaworld.org? Please be clear and specific. Blackrazor, you haven't played the game since a few weeks after the server move. Are you concerned that if you ...

Re: Colorspace for graphics?
It is not a question of colorspace supporting, (almost everycomputer supports pantone with proper software) but of hardware rendering...To my experence, colorspace begins to be useful only when exchanging data from a calibrated graphic chain to another calibrated graphic chain. If we were preparing...

Re: Colorspace for graphics?
It is impossible for TMW to have a standard colors space as color space you use is hardware (ICC profile) dependent. Adobe RGB, sRGB, Pantone...render correctly only on compatible hardware. What hardware would a graphic artist use that doesn't support all Adobe RGB, sRGB, and maybe Pantone? (I don'...

Re: Colorspace for graphics?
The simplest solution would be forbid images from having one explicitly. I'm pretty sure the client ignores them, so any graphics editors should have to deal without as well. In digital photography, all images are rendered (which is necessary to even display on a screen) in a colorspace. Therefore,...

Colorspace for graphics?
Do we have a standard colorspace for graphics? A very minor change to a tileset was displayed with slightly different colors in a web browser. We figured out that the image itself is unchanged, but the metadata for the second one defines a colorspace (which the previous tileset lacked). Before After...

Re: The official server-move flamewar topic
He means they voted through action, by staying with.org rather than running off to .Net. I understood that Len. however I cannot say this is a vote nor admit it can be interpreted as a vote. Most players come to this server because their friends are on this server and because TMW is bookmarked here...

Windows programmer needed
The programmers currently working on TMW server are focussed on the Linux platform. If the TMW-Athena server is to continue to be supported on Windows (currently it can be compiled and run in Cygwin), then we need help. The best way to get involved is to log on to FreeNode IRC and join channel #tmwa...

Server rollback 6 June
We had a total server crash, and had to restore everything from offline backup. 34 hours were lost, from about 17:30 (UTC) on 4 June to about 03:30 on 6 June. This affects the game, the forums, and the wiki. It was a mistake to not have more frequent offsite backups. We're going to set up hourly off...

Re: Make Angela & Cindy quest repeatable weekly
that's a one time deal where you have no control over whether or not you actually get the reward you were hoping for. Either do it again with another character, or trade someone. None of this is "rare" in the game. I mean surely this has to be bad game design, right? Not necessarily. You ...

Re: Hardcore server
some aspects of the game are designed with unlimited player deaths in mind. monster oil, grimoire, resist poison, and dementia potion all have a good chance of instant death regardless of player skill or level. the game should still be playable for hardcore, but just much harder. That's an importan...

I saw "hardcore server" and assumed you meant something rather different.
