Re: TEST: New 0.6.0 client version testing time.
After targeting a monster, the target only lasts for a minute before disappearing (at which point my attacks stop as well). When everything that's worth fighting takes over a minute to dispose of, that...throws off the rhythm a lot.

Re: The current balance of this game
Well, of course you can't take too big of hits or else you become "dead" and can't hold the monster's attention anymore. But figure this much: If I were to stand still on the Jack O ledge and draw its attention undisturbed, it would dish out 2400 hits every hour. About half of those would ...

Re: The current balance of this game
I'm not opposed to the general principle of getting less XP and drops; it's a consequence of having to burn through fewer resources than other players (arrows, iron ore...) and hence not needing as high a rate of return to maintain profitability. It could do to be a bit higher, sure, but there's no ...

Re: Killing Yetis
Is this the same 19-yetis-in-44-minutes quest as it was before? Because those are the numbers a solo player would have to deal with, and swords just don't do enough to keep up with that pace.

Re: Join Meway's server. Most populated GM server.
Does that cap of 15 apply even to the summoning spells? Otherwise players can spawn several thousand herb plants, fluffies, or mushrooms at once, generating so much work for the server that even their own connection is immediately dropped without being able to move away.

Re: balancing levels, weapon and armour stats and availablit
I have similar feedback about armours. Some of the armours, like gloves, shirts, shoes, and such, go from 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Why not have them go 5, 10, 15, 20, 25? Or even higher like 30, 35, 40, 45? This is because those numbers are used as percentages which are cumulative across all slots. If th...

Re: Join Meway's server. Most populated GM server.
It happened even before any use of @blvl: on that server, any monster that gets to take a shot at any player, regardless of their respective levels, hits for its top-end critical damage every time. If you want to create a temporary character there, you're welcome to observe that behavior for yourself.

Re: Join Meway's server. Most populated GM server.
This happens when being level 255. It always cause some problems. You can try on a personal test server, it'll do the same. If you don't want that to happen, try level 254 instead. Considering the same thing happened with a maggot at level 1... (For completeness, I tried 254 and that didn't change ...

Why do all monsters have a consistent 100% critical rate?

quitting from NPC permanently disables movement
I took part in a recent event and won some rewards, which happened to put me over the critical 50% inventory capacity. The event's next stop was in Candor, where I didn't particularly want to take part in the specific festivities they had planned, but it might have been worth a try for a standard fi...

Does that mean meet at 23:55 server time on the 7th, or is the 00:00 server time what it considers to be the 9th?

Re: bot check
Screen resolution doesn't even help beyond a certain point, because the server won't tell you about objects that are more than 448 pixels away at all.
Can't the GMs take advantage of the botters' own tools and set themselves to "follow" the accused in cases where that's necessary?

Re: Yeti changes
The Yeti used to have speed 220, making it even faster than JackO (250). Strangely enough, I actually liked the faster version better, because it was closer to the player speed (150 with no speed skill adjustment) and a group of them could be more easily herded around without having some fall off th...

Re: Bounty hunting
The only real difference between this and the "Collect X [monsterdrop]s!" formula is that the [monsterdrop] isn't 100% or even on a predictable schedule (i.e. a 20% drop doesn't always miss exactly four times before appearing on the fifth), so this plan just gives everyone a more consisten...
