Hi nayr! We are always looking for people to help out with The Mana World, and Mac OS X development is an area we need some help in... as there are problems with the Mac version currently (as you would already know). First step on the trail to joining the TMW development team is join #manaworld chan...

I would suggest making it smaller -- it could use less height (which will reduce "white space" and will be less annoying to look at when reading through forum posts ^_^). This goes for both of them (but i like the first one over the second)

_darkKnight__: Currently we do not have a system such as what you are suggesting. But in the future when we migrate to our custom server we will be able to offer that service. So try and remember your password, or write it down on a piece of paper :)

Well, its quite easy to get. All you need to click is the 'downloads' link, then click on the 'source code' link. Very easy. Or if you wanted to get more up to date code, you can get it from SourceForge CVS.

No, the system will not be a RO clonet -- we will customize whatever we see fit. That said, we will try to make the server "ruleset" as modular as possible to allow more flexibility in this area (different game world servers could play differently etc.) We want to make TMW as fun as possib...

This problem was fixed not long after the 0.4 release and is available in Guichan CVS. If you are using Guichan CVS and are missing the virtual destructor from ListModel, something is wrong and you should re-checkout the Guichan CVS repositry. If you want to use Guichan 0.4 there is a simple patch y...

Well, imo, i dont think "warps" are good.. as people abuse them. And a dynamic economy would be great, it could be like a virtual stockmarket :)

Even if you have lots of quantity, if the art sucks, no one will like it. You need to have balance (and quality has a higher weighting/worth than quantity anyway).

Eh? I wouldn't really worry: there is a generic database interface which kindjal has written, which currently has backends for MySQL, PostgreSQL and SQLite3. Support for more databases will be added later if needed.

/me points to TMW RPM thread...
http://themanaworld.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=729

You should grab the TMW and Guichan RPM, as that would most likely be the easiest way of playing The Mana World (and i need people to test the RPM's :D).

omg, i could tell that you used a Mac without actually seeing the Macs: your desk is clean.

Seems you also do digital music composition/editting. And you could always give me a Mac, then you will have a Mac OS version of TMW :)

hehe, np. That problem has already been fixed in guichan CVS. I also have already given the Guichan dev's the Guichan RPM :) I tried out Fedora Core 4 last night and thought that i might as well do something useful in it (make RPM's ;)). Also, i will be away for a few days, so dont expect any work c...
