Re: [REQ] Reaper Quest sfx
Thanks very much :) No problem; I can re-work these. From beginning to end for each effect, it can take anything from 2 mins, 20 mins or 2 hours. Sometimes I need to layer up sounds and process them; the main factor is experimentation. I'm relatively new to sound design, so not as quick as I'd like ...

Re: [REQ] Reaper Quest sfx
Death FX for the Reaper attached in .ogg format. Please me know your thoughts. Was it close to what you were thinking?
Just had another listen and thinking it might need more of a growling/howling/shrieking element though...

Re: More sounds for game?
Hey guys, I've just had a thought about the hit, miss, hurt, die sounds. I think a better model would be to have 'swing' sounds, then a simple, common hit sound. This is a much more achievable initial target and then you could add hurt/death sounds for the more major creatures? From a content produc...

Re: [REQ] Reaper Quest sfx
Hey guys, just a quick update as I meant to post up some audio a few days ago. Unfortunately a few things came up all at once. I do have some FX on the go which are starting to sound decent.
Will master all the audio to -6dB.

Re: Sound Update?
Hey all, Just wanted to add, for anyone who has an interest in the audio/music side of things. Check out Cuckos REAPER for audio and sequencing and Audacity (freeware) for audio editing. They're both very good 'lite' programs. I personally prefer Sound Forge to Audacity, (but it costs) Reaper is ver...

Re: [REQ] Reaper Quest sfx
Thanks all.
Was planning to work on the fire spell sounds, but also had some ideas for the Reaper sounds. Have a couple of free days coming up, so should have some FX up very soon.

Re: [REQ] Reaper Quest sfx
Hey again,
Kinda made a start on something for the music. Bear in mind it was a rough recording on a template and doesn't really get into the 'meat' of the track, but let me know if I should carry on this concept.

Re: [REQ] Reaper Quest sfx
Hey guys,
Am starting to get back into the whole audio thing. If this stuff's still needed, let me know and I'll have a crack at doing the FX and music.

Re: Sheet music
Sibelius is what I used to use to compose sheet music. For most composers, it would be a case of manipulating importing MIDI files. The notation software will do the pitch, note length, tempo and time signature transcribing etc. The user would then have to tidy it up, put in the key signature etc. d...

Hi all, I know that Ragnarok has been cited as a game with good music, though I have recently listened to some music from the Atlantica Online > ( http://atlantica.ndoorsgames.com/center/pds/ost.asp <music available for download Just wondering what people's opinions were on this? Re: The Witcher
Well it's Polish game based upon series of books by Andrzej Sapkowski. I've played this game. When released it was very buggy, but gameplay somehow was very nice. I'm running The Enhanced edition is much improved :) and would like to check out the books now, having played the game and reading the s...

Re: The Witcher
Ah, I see. I have the Enhanced Edition as a friend who was a big fan told me to wait for it. The engine isn't very well optimised like, say the Unreal 3 engine or source, but at least they have managed to make it look really great. The music deserves a special mention and is incredible. Even though ...

I don't know if this has already been brought up, but has anyone played this game? I just started it tonight. It's excellent so far!
