Re: Poll: Should admins post a specific player's info public
Last online was just an example. Frost offered to show me what it really looks like to have my private information posted online, which I did not want. He used the information he did provide to offer me his "deletion services", for which I did not ask. So you are going on about "last...

Re: Poll: Should admins post a specific player's info public
My option is not there: [*] Public information about when a player is online is not private. Yes. a false dichotomy is just that: false. The information Frost posted was in no way private. ActionBot maintains a list of last seen dates. The online list is completely public. Anyone can scrape it and ...

More metals and player mining are planned with the crafting additions..:WildX:. wrote:I think it would be a lot better if actual metals could be used instead of cash. Maybe it's time to introduce more metals to the game.

Re: The official server-move flamewar topic
They are not elected player representatives, they are elected-for-life + GHP approved LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS! How many times, seriously? Their job is not to represent the players, it is to enforce the rules laid down by the administration, for the players to obey. That is not player representatio...

Re: The official server-move flamewar topic
Actually all of the current, at the time, GMs felt that we couldn't do our jobs properly. So it wasn't just frost and o11c. As far as I know, GMs never had any power over this kind of decisions, it was given to them so that the "anti-Platyna" side of the GHP could gain numbers. As a GM yo...

Wiki home page
The current home page for the wiki is far from friendly. It's a big, unfocused list of links with minimal structure. I'd like something friendlier for players. I've already created a landing page for development ) (still WIP, but far better than what we have) so we don't need to include any of that...

Re: Colorspace for graphics?
Are we absolutely positive the client will ignore color space, gama, etc? It seems in Preferences is Color Management. When I checked it, it had "Color Managed Display" and I'll attempt the edit again with "No Color Management". Not sure if this works, but if it does, I suppose t...

Re: Converting all Maps to CSV
I'm completely replacing maps 055 and 056 with a larger combined map (the new 055, see the Trade City thread for an older WIP). I know how to deal with any conflicts.

Map 057 is going away. The other two are valid and need to be fixed.

Re: Wiki XML syntax highlighting
Should be bits of C/C++. There is some Python (to build the item/monster pages). Likely a few bits of others here and there. Having a syntax highlighter will make the wiki a better place to put things.

Re: Windows programmer needed
I'd just like to reiterate, more people working on the code is needed, or we can't keep supporting other platforms like Windows. Someone willing to keep it working on Windows is needed for it to continue to be available there.

Re: The official server-move flamewar topic
So, if Platyna breaks EU law, then it's okay for TMWC too? If Platyna trolls, then it's okay for TMWC too? Once again, individuals are doing it, not TMWC. I was here, and so were you, and it's fair to say Platyna ran the show, without successful opposition, for years, and that the project grew unde...

Re: The official server-move flamewar topic
I can think of three examples off the top of my head (from MOG games I have played) where the original development team abandoned a project, and a new group took it over. Ryzom, Subspace (Continuum), and Hostile Space. This is Platyna's claim. That Bjorn and Elven had no interest in maintaining a c...
