Re: Magic Skill Icons
Taking all your comments into account: Earth I would go for a mountain, definatly.. if by earth is meant the landscape. Its recognizable. Other things might easly be mistaken for the Nature discipline. However, if earth as in clay, we need something else... Iron I think I would go for the iron-ore. ...

Re: Arctic village
Hey dariunas, Yes, Psycle can host VSTs, besides its own plugins... However, before now I never really used VSTs ... Then I found the soundfonts thing out, and what great instruments there are out there.. which are such an improvement compared to the bad samples... I found an old free copy of the rg...

Re: Magic Skill Icons - Fire
I'm not sure about the wapon items in orbs. One of the reasons I put the elements in a orb (especially the fire) is that you can define the background (more required for the fire-whirl than the 'camp fire' though). Since fire needs a dark background to really stick out I decided to create the orb fo...

Re: Magic Skill Icons - Fire
I had a go at water... it took quite a while to tweak. I'm not happy with it yet, but its a start. Any good idea for earth magic element images?

Magic Skill Icons
Hey everyone,
I thought I'd take a shot at making icons for the different types of magic. My first one is for fire magic, in two flavours. Please comment on it.
Thanks!

I like the dog-horse thing! I bet you need to be level 200 to kill it, since a spider requires level 40 or so

Re: Desert complete revision conceptualization
Looks good Len. I was thinking about making a new tiles for the desert cliffs. The improvement I did on them was only 'for the time being'. We need something from scratch... I might want to attempt making such a tiles... seems like nice pratice, or is such an initiative already being developed? Othe...

Re: Arctic village
Thanks for the link! Unfortunatly my MIDI card is quite bad, it has a very limited wavetable (if at all)... however, from the link you gave me I found a great VST plugin for playing Soundfont files in Psycle... I think I will give it a shot.

Re: Arctic village
I'll keep my eyes open for it. You know any good free apps like (but probably more limited) Reason (I don't) :) .. I'm now using Psycle for my music, its nice, but thats about where it ends. It has no wave-table... and not really good instrument support... and the free instruments from the web usual...

Re: Animated tiles support
Zick, I think you have a point. I don't however like the idea of specific places in tile-sets ala RPGMaker. However, Tiled has the option of adding properties to your tiles. So you could do something for each tile which has special properties like: == tile nr 2 (flow open) == valid-on: day next-tile...
