Alrighty, I've finished the two maps for now, although trying to make them gloomy/humid ATM is rather difficult considering the lack of tiles.
I've put them both on the same map for the sake of simplicity.

Re: minor hat with a light
How about instead of an extra "flashlight" layer, we use the current cave over layer for a lighted cave, and instead we have another layer which is entirely black so the player cannot see at all. So that the player doesn't get stuck in the black, we could change the cave entrance/exit to b...

Re: need help with animation ideas
A feature length pixel art trailer? Expounding on this: Imagine you have just downloaded TMW and installed it, you click to start the game and the window comes up black but there is music playing, within three seconds the screen starts to fade into the animation. You are above the planet, panning t...

Re: [REQ] Two maps
I've done a bit on the caves, not much but outlining. However since you are looking for humid caves, I do have some requests. Basically that the moss gets worked on and included: http://forums.themanaworld.org/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=6802 And this could be helpful as well: http://forums.themanaworld...

Re: [REQ] Two maps
Eh, that's no problem Fate, I've been having fun working on this so it's no problem. Nevertheless, I am glad I posted what I had so I didn't finish something totally unnecessary. I would be fine recycling what I've done so far, it would require a number of transition tiles though. I'll start working...

Re: [REQ] Two maps
Alright, I've been working on this a bit, and here is my progress so far: http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/7650/gloomy.th.png [Thumbnail: Click to enlarge] I would like to request one map element though. Because as you may notice, there is no way currently to go from one side of the creek/swamp to...

Re: The greed here is making me ill
This is exactly why there needs to be regular wipes on this server. People are getting far too attached to their characters and putting WAY too much value into items, completely losing sight of what the goal and purpose of this server really is. Actually, the players do need to play this way. Becau...

Re: [REQ] Two maps
I would like to work on the 2-level map. Just a couple questions: Are there supposed to be entrances onto the map other than cave entrances? Or should it be blocked off in all directions with caves as the only entrances? I will require more input after I have a basic outline made for the map, then p...

0.0.28.1 crashing on Ubnuntu
I'm running Ubuntu 8.10, and TMW version 0.0.28.1 It only has been happening when I'm around other players; here is the console output: tmw: ../common/dri_bufmgr_fake.c:982: dri_fake_emit_reloc: Assertion `target_fake->is_static || target_fake->size_accounted' failed. Aborted tmw.log is attached.

Re: Nicknames: History and Reason
Superkoop: My last name is Koopman, so it would be simple for me to call myself superman, but that's boring, so I dubbed myself superkoop. It also spawned from lots of people calling me koop, and so super + koop pretty much defines me. 8) Xaru: This is about as random as it goes, I was sitting there...

Re: HELP !!!!
Make sure you are running tmw 0.0.25, it will be in the upper left of the screen when you first start tmw. If you are running 0.0.25, and it still crashes on you, attach your log. (the log is located in /home/$USERNAME/.tmw/tmw.log)

It is still rather blurry, the finished piece should be as clear as the regular icon.

Re: XP indication extended
I think this looks really neat! I could see it as useful, but this surely is something that should be off by default, but an option to enable.
This could be a skill add-on, like the smileys and sitting down.
I'm not a dev, but I just thought I would say I like the idea.
