Re: [CPT] Academy
I have always felt that the walls and street should be saved for Port City in CR1, along with other parts that are going into the island. Given that perspective, I could definitely imagine the 'new building' as a huge single story building with a large court yard (or court yards) on well maintained ...

Re: Player-set
1 - Long stick side: elbow should be back and up/out 2 - Do we care that side view spell cast is doing something different than front and back? Arms down, eyes closed? 3 - Does footwork make sense on one hand weapon and shield front view? I can't tell and don't know how to check Thank you for workin...

Re: Quests
the map is not as useful as some of the information in other topics. The academy represents the tutorial if I understand correctly (at least in CR1). This means that those quests will teach the player gameplay, which isn't wholly thought out yet. Not much more than the academy, the village, and the ...

http://forums.themanaworld.org/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=9305&p=81517&hilit=#p81517 This link will take you half way down the "backstory" topic to give you an idea of the mood for quests. Don't bother reading posts above that one. Basically, the townsfolk don't care to much for you ...

Re: Hello! Another newb checks in
Sounds like you really know how to play the game.
I hope someone with your background/gaming expertise might become interested in checking out the TMW project forums and wiki, and provide some suggestions (or even help!) for developing the game.
Welcome, have fun.

Re: What do you think about Google Chrome???
i like google chrome because of the tiny address bar and low amount of buttons to obstruct my page. it really helps when viewing high definition po- err pool tournaments. Now that you mention it, I think my natural attraction toward Chrome is the simplicity of the bars. Rotonen can f11 in and out a...

Re: Redesigning the mana World
yack yack yack  Speaking of those old wiki entries that just seemed like fluff: These elemental races probably aren't going to be playable. The story uses them. I don't like the idea of recoloring and adding bits to the playerset to make races. Players would catch on and loathe it. Equipment ...

I think most people just put a userpage wiki link in their signature when they want to show off everything they've contributed.

Re: Please stop kicking the dead
Sorry, but I do want to steer the ship in both directions. Out of curiosity, why would anyone care about being kicked if they've been afk for hours anyway? I can imagine if they were crafting or something, but that isn't the case. Do you really want to come back and read the hours of missed conversa...

Re: Redesigning the mana World
Big posts are fine! The bigger, the better. I envision the early people evolving far to the East, in a land we will never see. They sailed from there to Kaizei in the North, and then, in search of better climate, South to Argaes and the big continent down there. What think you? Does this fall somew...

Re: Please stop kicking the dead
So there the answer, a player sitting in the game afk is more important then people that play the game. So no kicking them. Got the message. On the contrary, people playing the game is more important. Dead afk guy is a number that makes the server appear populated. The REAL issue is a gameplay issu...

Re: [CPT][WIP]Giant Squid
I like Stava's design. Probably not as threatening as it could be, but it looks more fun. Along with fluffies, pinkies, mouboos, and mushrooms, I think he'd fit right in. He could walk around on the beach (why not) until water is invented.
