I would suggest only selecting from database applications that support stored procedures and triggers as these can greatly increase performance (especially if the database is moved to a different machine than the server), improve security, and significantly improve data integrity and consistency.

I think it would work best if the emotion icon was only sent with a chat message and not by itself. Theoretically, it wouldn't take any additional space in the chat window since it would appear next to the message. It could also be regulated by all of the standard chat functionality such as time bet...

This way it will work only with the player you're talking to, you cannot see other people expressing emotions... Why would it only work with the player your talking to? Can't you see all of the chat (except messages directed to a specific person) in the chat window? Anything that is said out loud, ...

I agree, I personally don't like the drop or "#" on the persons face. I have a different idea for showing emotions. What if there was a small (maybe medium) size face next to each line of chat a user types in the chat window. It would need to be large enough to show emotion. However, the f...

I still prefer my Windows machine over my Mac mini... the Mac is just too slow by comparison (only a 1.25Ghz Power PC G4 processor). I guess its not really a fair comparison though, since I run a Dell 1600 PowerEdge server as my desktop computer (with a 2.8Ghz Hyperthreaded Xeon processor). :D I thi...

I think the floor tile (dark purple) is a bit busy, it draw my attention away from everything else, also it seems to imply the wrong perspective and the repeating pattern is very visible.

Oh and sometimes the forums don't seem to remember which posts I already read and which I didn't, maybe this has got something to do with Firefox' tabsystem? Or is it a forum bug?
I've experienced the same issue. It seems to be a problem with the forum software and/or configuration.

It not hard in any language, but XML has the added benefit of isolating the data from the addition of future data.
