Re: New Structure For Forums

Manasource and Source of Tales are basically two different projects. True, Manasource developers contribute to Source of Tales, but generally Tales is a different project.

That would be a different game than Source of Tales I guess :)

Re: Server problems?

From IRC: [20:25:50] <MadCamel1> Could do a post.. But I've a feeling anyone who cares is already reading irc. The outage was due to the network driver for the virtual machine hanging. A kernel upgrade was attempted so we shouldn't have that issue in the future. Also it seems my mobile phone company...

Re: [DIS] Ending Trello and Graphics Development Forum

Hi, I liked trello while we did our LPC entry. But we only worked with it for one month + planning and were really active there (And we did not really do art work there, only idea tracking). However I honestly did not check that trello board since ages now (Well i just did, but (luckily) there was n...

Re: Tileset-development [Solved]

I faintly remember some bugs which occured when someone tried to use a really huge tileset. But that was years ago and could probably be fixed by now. If we think of the same issue (the Invertika "Mammuts"). Then this was fixed iirc. But you can still work it around using multiple sprites...

Would be nice if this thread could go on topic again (and stop spamming my feedreader with useless stuff (since this thread is an announcement it is in all forum feeds))

Re: [WIP] Graphics revision

Manaplus have support for item on ground, and item on inventory. Having an item on ground with a smaller size is good, but the item on the inventory should stay big as Nard explained. You can do that via the floor node: http://doc.manasource.org/items.xml#floor_childnode_description So you can even...

Re: Hardcore server

I would also remove stuff like the death note in this house (which kills you instantly if you read it) (at least for hardcore mode). You should have control about wether you live or die. Reading a note in a room that you might not know which ends your hard work for your character is a bit silly to me.

Re: The official server-move flamewar topic

Nards story has nothing to do with this thread. Though Nard spammed a Art Thread with a silly "Sourcecode" (well at least not the prefferred medium for doing modifications) of a Image over multiple posts (to fulfil the GPL in his eyes. Then he started ranting about it. The start thread was...

Re: [DIS] Quality level of TMW

Hi, The Liberated Pixel Cup was a nice approach to bring a art pot with matching assets. They posted a styleguide (http://lpc.opengameart.org/static/lpc-style-guide/styleguide.html) and rated the art based on it. The result was a list of art (where the majority matches quite well (in my opinion)): h...

Re: re: Bulk Email from tmw.net

Hi, I did not vote because my opinion is not present in both options: I think that TMWC should be allow to send admin messages when they feel that they make sense (Though I would mail all ingame accounts instead of forum accounts only). (Disabling the admin mail settings by default for new users mak...

Re: More dynamic/active combat

For Manaserv I am close to implement a more active combat system and remove the autoattack one. We plan to use movement via wasd there. Clicking the mouse or pressing shortcut buttons do trigger abilities. Those abilities are either basic strike attacks, special moves or magic spells. The plan is to...

I even doubt that I could give the samples of the base waveforms as they are probably copyrighted... but the data produced with them is free for any kind of distribution :P I really doubt this. Hardware dependency should not be an issue. There are many code projects which do not compile on all arch...
