Re: The official server flamewar topic

I don't "believe" in Platyna or you, or in either of your "causes". It's not a matter of belief. I don't subscribe to "faith-based facts". You keep deflecting, but you offer no substantial fact based evidence to support your point of view. I cannot control that, but I w...

Re: The official server flamewar topic

This has nothing to do with Netflix or Bundy. You can call my argument names, but that is not much of a counter argument. I have clearly stated why your explanations are logically flawed. You have not done the same to mine. I understand your frustration. It must be hard, especially for a lawbringer ...

Re: The official server flamewar topic

The data never belonged to you or me, so it was not our place to give permission. I explained that. There is a difference between a hosting service (microsoft, madcamel, OVH, SPI, etc.) and a game admin (Platyna, TMWC, Evol Game Admin Team, etc.). I explained that, too. Hosts merely allow the server...

Re: The official server flamewar topic

Actually Prsm, I have no idea what you will specifically say, other than "I don't believe it was stolen". Why, specifically, do you believe this? What specific relevant legal facts support your claim? Also, if you work for an organization that stole something, and you work within that sto...

Re: The official server flamewar topic

Put on your GM hat for a moment. Would you accept that from a player who transgresses the game rules? "Hey Prsm, what's done is done, let's move on, eh?" Theft is one of humanity's oldest transgressions, so much so, that it made it into the Ten Commandments, which is a brief code of proper...

Re: The official server flamewar topic

Hi Prsm! I do know those facts, or at least a version of them. None of it justified theft. You know that. I know it, too. You all could have just made a fork. Lost hours of grinding do not justify theft. Better to just start over with a clean slate and a clear conscience.

Re: The official server flamewar topic

So sad this goes in circles forever. OSS lets you freely copy the code, art, and scripting assets, usually placed on Github or something similar. You never have the right to copy the databases created by the server software on the game admin's computer. OSS does NOT cover that. It doesn't matter if ...

Re: Best MMORPG you have very played ?

Vylocity at https://vylocity.com/ is a nice 2D game engine with several games available to play, or you can make your own for yourself and others to share, both online and single player, using their java-like coding language and other design tools. My favorite game on there, made by the creators of ...

Re: The official server flamewar topic

I'm glad the damage was fixed, especially in the prompt and professional way that it was handled. Even if the past violence and bad karma of data theft is a part of the big picture, I feel that more violence and destruction is not appropriate, and only leaves us all poorer for it. I wish everyone a ...

Re: There was a fly on my keyboard, and I just squashed it.

Just like Ribwich from The Simpsons ... "Think smaller and more legs"

The lobster is just a giant water bug. I'll stick with that. Or shrimps with zucchini noodles ... yummmmm :D

LOLOLOLOLOL :D

One day, who knows, any of us may have to resort to eating flies, in order to survive. Thankfully, today is not that day.

Re: There was a fly on my keyboard, and I just squashed it.

LOL Gumi! I seriously did consider using my tablet to photograph it, as it lay dying on my notebook's touchpad. (I don't have a smartphone.) But it just seemed too morbid, even for me. It was just a standard, all black, small-to-medium sized housefly. Some are all shiny, but there was nothing specia...

There was a fly on my keyboard, and I just squashed it.

There was a fly on my keyboard, and I just squashed it with a fly-swatter, with absolutely no regard for its feelings, its life journey, or the meaning of its existence. It was in my way, in my face, and now it's dead. Does that make me a bad person? EDIT: Holy Heck! After a moment, its squashed up ...

Wildx, with all due respect

Hi Wildx, and with all due respect, It's not TMW that is synonymous with the FlameWar. It's the TMWC. You may not like it. I may not like it. But it is what it is, and it remains this way precisely because the stolen data files to which Prsm alluded are still being used by the TMWC. I sincerely hope...

Re: No fair! You locked it again.

Thank you Gumi. About Trump. I don't blame him per se. I blame the system that nominated him. Heck, Hillary was very shortsighted and selfish too. She pushed her candidacy, playing dirty nomination tricks with the collusion of DNC chair, and her friend, Debbie Wasserman-Shultz, even while under FBI ...
