Re: Stuck Squirrel

I should point out that having isolated-but-nearby regions on a map is not merely bad luck, but it's a Bad Thing™ (also there's not much luck involved).

Re: Bug in Crazy Move

For packet flood, you have to get a whopping *30* over-limit packets before getting kicked. That's not likely to be caused by network delay - the shortest allowed delay is 20ms for the attack packet, which would require 600ms of delay (which is admittedly almost feasible), but that's without the 1.5...

Re: Per-character (instead of per-account) gender

Adding server side requires: Network protocol support Savefile support The first is "easy", but may confuse older clients. The second is "hard" (there is not yet a formal description of the savefile formats, only an in-code description), but does not affect client support. Rememb...

Re: Bug in Crazy Move

If there is a case where the antiflood system kicks you without a flood, I would like to hear about that. If there is a case where the antiflood system has bad threshholds for certain packets, I would like to hear about that too. So far I haven't heard anything except "nobody has ever attacked ...

Re: circlets changed to bandanas

Have found the log of every player whose items were changed, so we *can* do verified restoration.

This problem was not related to the crash, but still investigating exactly how it happened.

Re: strange frames in login text => error in login

This is why censorship is a *really* stupid idea in any context.

There is no *possible* way for that to have happened.

Can anyone think of any *impossible* ways?

Re: Create a mod to make dead people wear Jack Charm?

Yes, trivially.

You could simply edit the default .png file's death frame with the skeleton death frame. This would have slightly different internal effects on equipment than the default, but probably won't cause any visible problems.

Re: Request Deleting Account

The rule is that any account that's inactive for a year is prone to deletion. But we only actually bother to delete them it if we have some pressing reason to. The changes I made to the server last year made it less important to delete unused accounts, so we haven't bothered. I'll probably do the ne...

Re: Request Deleting Account

I'm sorry, we don't delete random accounts just based on an assertion that it's yours. If you have some way of actually *proving* it, we will be glad to delete or reset it.
