maybe the cocoon could release a spider/maggot upon death? or maybe even spawn a maggot from time to time while still intact?
I like the animations.
(one small suggestion: maybe move the web threads one pixel left/right where they are attached? like this:
)

Re: [WIP] yeti
I have a very early leftwards yeti animation:
I think the animation would be nicer if the yeti turned his shoulders as well, but I think I'll leave that for another time..- 24 Sep 2009, 19:22

Re: [WIP] yeti

unless someone posts a better animation, I'll use this animation and shade it. but before I'll start with the sideways walking animation.- 13 Sep 2009, 01:56

Re: [WIP] yeti
Here is an attacking pose. It is crappy. Nothing referenced. It is minimally shaded, needs texture and polishing. Just hoping to help. thanks for the pose! I'll definitely use it.. (maybe with an enlarged head? i think it is smaller on this frame) Might take some time though... I need to get over m...

Re: [WIP] Witch Doctor Mask/Hat
the sideways positions have two mistakes I think: 1. the light is coming from southwest, so the left-facing mask should be brighter than the right one and should be brightest on the right-most corner 2. I would place the eye slots one pixel further towards the nose like this: (also changed the light...

Re: [WIP] yeti
The head movement looks a little off to me. I’m not sure of this, but maybe some vertical movement as well? I'll have to see how it looks really walking (with movement on the screen), then maybe add vertical head movement. Sorry, but the arm movement looks a bit stupid to me. I thi...

I'm using only 14 different colors, that's why I don't need full RGB
anyway, here is one finished shaded frame: and a first try at walking animation: please comment

Re: [WIP] yeti
(for front/aggressive stances: changed chest shading and hand outlines) regarding lying on the floor: is this better/different? for the legs: are the legs in the background (circled) better? (what i intend is that the front/aggressive stance should be like the left stance, so bent knees and ellbows)...

Re: [WIP] yeti
ok... this is the aggressive mode front yeti. hmmm.. I just see that all the contrast/dark shadow in the legs' fur is gone.. I think I'll fix that. other than that, if nobody has sth to say I would say the front posture is finished. What do you think? yeti-mockup2.png ... with darker shadows: yeti-m...

Re: [WIP] yeti
This is my new posture for the front view. Will there be a problem due to the arms overlapping the player standing next to the yeti? yeti-mockup-frontposture.png btw.. is it possible to use the first front posture for an 'inactive' yeti? and it only changes to the second posture when it sees a playe...
