Will that include changing the collision layer / some other way to destroy and rebuilt walkways?Crush wrote:Regarding a more dynamic game environment:
Server-sided script bindings and netcode for exchanging map tiles on-the-fly are on my todo list.

Possible other death poses:
The left or right frame turned face down, without the the headband.
A bonfire instead.

[WIP] Animated dripping cave walls
Animated water dripping down the cave walls. In general they probably shouldn't be used as much as in this screenshot: screenshot_cave_ani_dripping.png In a high-magic area, it might be fun to make the sparkles go upwards. These tiles are somewhat difficult to see in Tiled, as you can see: cave_ani_...

Re: SHARIGAN TWICE AGAIN!!!
If he's botting then he could be doing anything else, including reading the forums. A thread like this risks warning him that he's been spotted.
Having said that, he does seem to be in a rather oft-visited location.

Rules clarification about multi-playing
Came up in in-game conversation earlier, with different opinions about whether it would count under the botting rule. So I thought I'd ask for a rules clarification. 1 player with 2 characters, playing both at the same time. Attacks a mouboo or snake in one window, then while waiting for the combat ...

Re: [REQ] animated tiles
It would help to have a test environment set up for artists to slot potential tilesets in to. To view an animation in both GIMP's animation tool and TMW, the artist would need to rearrange their tileset.
Attached is a WIP that might work, but I haven't seen it move yet.

Re: [WIP] Cave foliage
I'm looking for comments about the existing tiles, before I finish the creeper sets. The water needs a complete rework, that comes later. Might be best to split this in to two sets. Artifacts on the ground are attempting to get the screenshot small enough for the forum's file size limit (the in-cave...

Re: [WIP][POLL] Cave south exits
Voting's currently split between E and J, and the latest one (K) combines the best bits of both (IMO). It's also hard to know if people are seeing the thread again or just leaving their old votes, so I don't want to restart the voting yet again. I'm going to set this to RC for shipping Freeyorp's la...

Re: Testing period on enigma.dy.fi until 11th of January 2009
Tulimshar's mine is now in the middle of the new newbie zone, but is still a level 40+ area with aggressive monsters at the entrance. I think an introductory yellow slime area like the demon mines would be nicer.

Fluffies seem to give too much XP compared to other monsters, considering their weak attack.

Sandra's red scorpion text needs to be updated, as they're now on the beach.

(assuming this thread is the place for feedback on these changes)
I like the change to safe monsters between Tulimshar and Hurnscald.
As 002-1 (desert just south of Tulimshar) has become a much lower level area, I think the sandstorm should be removed from that map.

Re: Male Spell Caster
I think the existing stab-attack sequences could be used for casting with a wand, with different timing for the frames. It wouldn't do for staves though. The final frame of this unarmed one might be used for a staff held horizontally, but maybe that's wishful thinking for a way to get this good anim...
