Re: General announcement for Manaplus
In my case, I switched to Manaplus because some of it's fun features and because I was fed up with constant disconnections and spam bans. Now I simply cannot return to the official client because some of my main characters are not in the three first position that are available on 0.6.0. Please at l...

Re: General announcement for Manaplus
Sorry guys for derailing this thread with my bold statement. When I said that I think ManaPlus is hurting us, I don't mean it hurts the players. I am fully aware that ManaPlus is being developed to please the current players, and I'm sure it does so successfully. I agree many of its features are nec...

Re: General announcement for Manaplus
For the record, in its 8 years of existence, The Mana World has always announced new client versions in the game and client-side news. Nothing new there. Now, ManaPlus is clearly a power-user client first and an improved Mana client second. In my opinion it's unfortunate that the improvements it mad...

Re: Unused account wipe
The purge has been done. Unfortunately it seems my attempts at shutting down the server were not entirely right, which caused both the account and the character database to get truncated, losing the majority of their contents. Fortunately however, I still had purged versions from a testing round I d...

Re: Questions about "Unused account wipe"

Re: Unused account wipe
Somewhere in the next days, I will be purging unused accounts from the server in order to reduce the lag. I plan to remove all accounts that have not been used for at least one year. Be prepared.
Of course, I will post the list of purged accounts/characters afterwards.

Re: mySQL
It seems to I will have to do it. Anyway, Bjorn or someone should add here: https://github.com/mana/manaserv/tree/master/src/sql/mysql/updates update from 14 to 15. There's only 13->14 and 15->16. Version 15 was somebody's local version that was skipped by accident in the main repository. To avoid ...

Re: Mana nightlies for Windows
I've renamed this topic and stickied it in 'Windows support', since it's not very relevant in any of the other sections.
Not to mention the nightlies haven't been updated for almost half year now, but of course that'll be fixed at some point.

Re: New library pack for compiling TMW
Crush, you can also remove guichan_opengl.dll, since we're not using that part of Guichan (we used to, but moved the bit of OpenGL code to our own sources at some point so that we could do some optimizations, iirc).

Re: A couple of questions
1) eAthena is a Ragnarok Online server emulator that was picked for this project years ago. The TMW server, now called manaserv, is a new server written from scratch over the past years, with which we try to make it easier for us to create the game we really want. We can more easily write the featur...

Bertram, I assigned it to you because I thought you said you wanted to work on it. If you don't have time, then I'll just take it back.

No, when we're using Qt we're not using Guichan.Bertram wrote:Humm,
It still means you'll have to theme guichan widgets, am I right?
