Re: Login or password problems? Case sensitivity is enforced
If you (or some random noob) had been the one asking, I would have attempted to help. But as a living, thinking, creature, I have learned that when Nard asks for help, he is just wasting everyone's time. Since apparently this time it actually *is* an issue, I've edited the reset post to put the ema...

In case you cannot write it yourself, the following code can be included on any web page, including a wiki one. <?php if(isset($_POST['email'])) { // EDIT THE 2 LINES BELOW AS REQUIRED $email_to = "you@yourdomain.com"; $email_subject = "Your email subject line"; function died($er...

addendum: dry H2O bath is called a sauna
Re: Ask MrWho
If I melt dry ice, can I swim without getting wet? In the end we also melted dry ice and got dry water (sqrt(H2O)) which we used to fill a pool and swim in without getting wet. After this experiment we concluded that dry water was the most common form of water found in desert areas, you can swim in...

Re: Login or password problems? Case sensitivity is enforced
Your inability to read the email address in slightly-spambot-resistant form is not our problem. Nor is your inability to notice that it is, in fact, already in the announcements section - not just in one forum, but in *every* forum. If anything, I would *remove* it, since it's been quite a while, m...

Re: What are the reasons for lag in-game
The occasional lost TCP packet will do that. When TCP loses a packet the stream has to recover.[...] Another possibility is that the server is overloaded or stalling. Judging by the CPU load on the server it doesn't look like there is any sort of bottleneck in processing power. The map-server may b...

Re: What are the reasons for lag in-game
Indeed, The lags I am speaking about have nothing to do with network. (nor my vido settings or any kind of computer overload from my side. I checked with only manaplus lanched, and also with different computers an OSes)veryape wrote:I havn't actually noticed network lags,

What else than private cops are bouncers?Crush wrote:That "cop" analogy for GMs doesn't fit. It would be better to compare them to bouncers at a club. When you misbehave towards other guests, they throw you out and won't let you in anymore.

Re: What are the reasons for lag in-game
I also still have lags while I have a somewhat good average ping (160-210ms). They occur mostly when number of players gets over (about) 45. They can be repeated small lags (( less or about a second, with period of a few seconds), or spikes of several seconds ("rare").
