We had a disk failure on the server. The disk has been changed to some temporary one (untill we get new disks) and should be working fine now.

The Halloween event has been extended because of this. You have until this weekend to get all of your costume prizes.

I personally dislike this event. It rewards the people already having a lot of different things...

OK, Sharighan, you won. To make up for the recent server downs you will get your monthly payment for October back. Also, all items from the cash shop will cost half for the next week. And when you bring your copy of The Mana World back to the shop were you bought it you will get a full refund.

And about the server, well anyone is free to:
1. read specifications,
2. decide what machine to buy,
3. buy it, mount it in rack,
4. connect several energy supplies,
5. setup a router with BGP,
6. write to RIPE to request an IP class,
7. connect at least two uplinks,
8. solve all possible problems,
9. power up the machine,
10. configure management controller,
11. install the operating system,
12. solve all problems that will show up,
13. update the operating system,
14. solve another problems that shows up again,
15. read security announcements,
16. wonder how the hell and when you have set this file suid root,
17. do the above for eleven years,
18. download the eathena and server-data module
19. configure it.
20. run it.

For doing these simple steps you can get a sadomaso pleasure to listen endless moaning, but also you are getting the chance to do it better than I do!
