Yes, but how many of these were really active at any one time and not just members on paper?

Guilds tend to add everyone to their member list and then let them there because it looks good to have a long member list. even when they haven't seen that person for months.

Um hi, i would like to ask why the limitation on guilds? 16 members isnt much for a guild its more of a limit for a party. Guilds have high amounts of numbers and partys are small groups or cliques as you can say with friends. Guilds are supose to be a group formed by many people friends or not. A clan pretty much. i think the limitation should be at least 50 people. but this is my opinion.

I played quite a lot of different MMO's. Enough to know how you can tell the mismanaged guilds and the well-working guilds apart. Having a ton of people in the rooster who never show up to guild events and noone kicks them is a sign that a guild doesn't work well.

Answer of this question not given from server's perspective...

well...
1. players do want diversed & active guilds. & normally they tend to move between parties or guilds...
2. guild masters want many active players
3. server prefers efficiency & optimization..

i would say, keep it as high as possible without causing trouble to server...
things can be changed over time. right now we dont have many guilds around.

Regards,
Guilds are intended to be more long term. Parties are in theory only suppose to be a temporary grouping for things like dungeons. While guilds are suppose to be long term alliances.

Ok then. So let's introduce a fee for each guild member. Amount of money should rise with every new member. That ensure that only active members will be kept in guilds.

People are active in the game, quite a few but not all of them play everyday theres people that log on once a week, or just on weekends etc. the ones who rnt totally active in the game get deleted after 6 months.

Its not a good answer that ^^ Lets stop to creat content if no people on mana then, And Cruch, it's not an answer too, a guild work as the leader want to make it work, if they come back 1week after, why kick them?

The need of larger players association is established as outside-Mana-world clans already exist and their
members would like them to have an existance in the game.
The first question I ask is why a "guild" should be the same as in other MMORPGs? (lvl, ranking...)
TMW is different and its interest lies in its differences.
It seems that devs and other contributers have different ideas of what should be a guild or a clan.
And I think that most players have no idea of what devs thought when they established parties. So
the first thing to do would be to establish what we want a guild to allow instead of fixing a too rigid frame.
The leaders of actual "clans" (with GMs of course) greatly contribute to make the game attractive and
some have a strong interaction with devs. Why not set a quite fuzzy frame where they could express
themselves and wait to see if stronger restrictions or more prcise evaluations are needed.
I'm not a long time player, but from the recent past, I noticed the following intentions:
    • large member number associations
      helping low lvl members
      improved trading
