I had problems installing the manaplus this new version of Slackware Linux (13.37 x64)...
BUT...
I managed to install and how we are talking about LINUX, I decided to post my experience here ...
OK, let's go!
1º. Download:
manaplus -> http://download.evolonline.org/manaplus ... us.tar.bz2
guichan -> http://guichan.googlecode.com/files/guichan-0.8.1.tar.gz
Phyfs -> http://repository.slacky.eu/slackware64 ... 64-1sl.txz
Sdl_gfx -> http://repository.slacky.eu/slackware64 ... 64-1sl.txz
Enet -> http://repository.slacky.eu/slackware-1 ... 6-1krs.txz
2º. Install:
su:
password:
# installpkg physfs-2.0.1-x86_64-1sl.txz
# installpkg sdl_gfx-2.0.21-x86_64-1sl.txz
# installpkg enet-1.2.1-i486-1krs.txz
# tar -xvf guichan-0.8.1.tar.gz
# tar -xvf manaplus.tar.bz2
# cd guichan-0.8.1
# autoreconf -i
# ./configure
# make
# make install
# cd ..
# cd manaplus
# autoreconf -i
# ./configure
# make
# make install
3º. Running:
# manaplus
tested on Slackware Linux 13.37 x64

Sdl_gfx: http://repository.slacky.eu/slackware64 ... 64-1sl.txz
Install Physfs and Sdl_gfx (installpkg owns!)
extract the client and make this (inside the folder of source client):
# autoreconf -i
# ./configure
# make
# make install
