180-190ms (western part of Russia). New host is about 30-40 ms better than old. Ethernet connection, close to backbones (~2ms ping to nearest datacenters). Most of time obviously spent on EU <-> USA part of route.

200-250ms on WiFi, UK. Often goes up to over 300ms though.

What I'm seeing here is that most people get excellent pingtimes (when distance is taken into account). There are however a few outliers that get much higher latency than they should given their distance from the server. I'll look in to what can be done for them, but it's not as if I can singlehandedly fix global internet routing issues. The information does give me some corner-cases to check when choosing uplinks, which is good.

France, 200ms.
FWIW, ping measure is skewed when running with low fps (like <15). Pick the value with fps >30. (that also suggests you can only wonder what manaplus ping really reflects...)

And the best thing most of players can do to improve their gameplay is to get rid of all air gaps (3G, wi-fi, sattelite links, etc) replacing them with wires or optic fiber. Air things are unreliable. Lost packets = lag spikes. And it is lag spike what kills, as it makes things unpredictable. Ping below ~300 ms is completely okay to play TMW on its own as long as its stable.

And, 80 ms on this internet too. This internet is both wifi in my parents house *and* a wireless upstream from the router to the tower.
