The Mana World Forums

Well is hard choice a name for the fusion, because the people know it as The Mana World since the proyect beginning, but not forgetting online evol because it takes a long time too, besides that quickly was my personal favorite, even when it was just a beta.

Now for finish, basically "ideas". (･ิ_･ิ)っ

"as mana evolves"

The only *change in name should be a brief, informative motto.

Here are some ideas in case they happen to be good or spark some other ideas:

Thevol Worldline (Yeah, they probably won't.)
Ludus Apertus (My poor attempt at translation of "open game" to Latin.)
Mundus Magicus (My poor attempt at translation of "magical world" to Latin.)
Manamorphosis (Reference to the fusion and evolution of the game.)
Mir Online (Mir means various good things in many languages, such as "world", "peace" or "wonder".)
Miramor (This name should really get into the heart.)
Miror (One could easily see themselves in such a game.)
Mervana ("Mana"+"Evol"+"Nirvana", "Mer" may also refer to sea.)
Mergarine (Reference to the merge. Like butter but better.)
Raid on Gushin X v4.14 (Aliged omate to The Force, OK ther.)
GNU Mana (Should we aspire for the best.)

Just a clarification: this is not an official thread. There was never a "let's find a new name" initiative. Ideas were thrown around, but the consensus seems to be that the name will be "The Mana World" and "Evol" will be used in other parts of the project and possibly the subtitle.

I'm going to move this to Player Talk to avoid confusion.

It's still good to see some idea posted, doesn't hurt and we could find a good name through it too!

I've just passed by following a huge nostalgia and... well, I feel quite excited to see this "Manavolution" thing arising.

I feel sad I can't contribute so much (I just got out the really weird state of mind I become involved when I came here first, TMW was the very escape valve for my life in that time). But I feel itches to see how it might develop. Salute!

With the recent name changes on forums and website, is "TMW: rEvolt" the new official name of the game?

Yes, tentatively. The name combines TMW & Evol names plus it hints at Hercules with rE.

A little bit offtopic:
Is it possible to create sort of newsletter that will inform when fusion of tmw and evol will be launched?

At first I didn't like the name much (and it felt kind of dark or harsh), but after a few days, I'm starting to like it, so I'd say it's a fine name!
The connection to Evol seems pretty obvious, but I don't see how "rE" relates to "Hercules."

I think the name "The Mana World" should be spelled out and rEvolt should be a subtitle. This is how it currently appears with the classic TMW theme (which I use and I think should be the main theme but that's another discussion):
