If you're having problems or simply want to meet the developers or other players of The Mana World please join our irc channels:

#themanaworld #tmw-dev #tmw-art @ irc.freenode.net

#themanaworld: is for general chat
#tmw-dev: this channel is used to discuss development
#tmw-art: our artists hang there 24h/day

If you're not familiar with IRC or don't have an IRC client follow this brief tutorial:

1. Goto http://www.jwirc.com/chat.html
2. Choose your favourite nick
3. Select FREENODE from 'IRC Network'
4. Add #themanaworld in the 'Channels' inputbox
5. Press 'GO!'
6. Happy chatting :D

I hope to see you soon

Most GNU/Linux distribution users can replace 1-4 by something like one of the following:

pacman -S irssi
apt-get install irssi
emerge irssi

or, simply "telnet irc.freenode.net 6667". works on pretty much every system, too, be it *nix, windows, or whatever. only recommended for the truly hardcore netizen tho. 8)

Also, it might be a good idea to add this url:

irc://irc.freenode.net/themanaworld/

To the top post.

Firefox also comes with a nice IRC client and it's free. =]

Just a heads up if you get the same error as I when you try to log on the main channel.
Apparently I had #manaworld as the main channel and today I entered and it was empty. There probably was a redirect to the newer channel #themanaworld and it died.So if the channel is empty check that you are in the right channel. :)

All users:
1. Download Opera at: http://www.opera.com
2. Install it.
3. Open it.
4. Write in the addres bar: irc://irc.freenode.net/themanaworld

Voila, you are on IRC. ;)

Thanks guys. I'll get set up soon and then start asking what map prototypes the group would like to see.

I am now using Opera in windows. Is there some way to "select" a username in these chat rooms that will automatically address the message to them?
