ManaMarket running out of slots. [DIS]

So ManaMarket is once again running out of slots!

What can we do about it?

• Reduce everyone to only 1 slot to sell stuff
• Increase MM slots?
• Put a Zeny cap forcing The Sweet Ass rares to be posted to forums instead
• Put ItemId restrictions in place to force The Sweet Ass rares to be posted to forums instead
• Adjust auction duration? Come up with a more aggressive expired policy?
• Host another instance of MM with different people?
• Host another instance of MM with higher priced items for sale?
• Manaplus put the AUCTION_HOUSE packets in so borrow hercules part of that?

Open for Ideas but MM is one of the last things we constantly get stuck dealing with. Open to other ideas as well but lets get this Market going and economy moving again.

Is there any problem with increase the number of slots ? If there is then create another manamarket in tulmishor, nivalis or candor. Almost all the rares except for illia items are overpriced in manamarket now a days. It doesn't make any difference. Manamarket for higher priced items is also good idea. MM with different people ? What do you mean ? I prefer different MM clones in Nivalis and Tulmishor. The places look deserted.

MM in Nivalis for the rare.
MM in Tulimshar for the weapon, armor, ammo
MM in Hurnscald for the others stuff?

With the boat and towel it easy to go to these place.
And why not a MM in Candor too?
Idk how do you have share the items, in categories or others.
But its a nice idea imo

Do we have the code of AuctionBot somewhere?
I never tried it but if it works like e.g. you add an item and within three days the one who is willing to spend the most money on it gets it.
That'd be a nice alternative.

For starters, I knocked down listing length. 2 weeks now.

If your items on MM are older then 2 weeks come get them.

I've no idea which way this will go but if we decide on a aggressive policy of listing, items will be harvested into the GM bank if not claimed in a reasonable amount of time.

It's right next to a storage npc.. Anyone good at python feel like modifying & testing it so it can utilize storage for extra slots?

When I first saw the source code I was actually surprised it didn't do this.

The quicker and dirtier solution is to move the money part out of the user.xml and into it's own.

Then the user.xml can be reused and multiple markets opened up if need be. People would be able to post at one or the other as the user.xml sharing would make the number of stalls and used stalls apply to all the markets.

This also allows single MM administration as well as anything done to one user would hit the others.
