As I see, the new haters will be Modanung, Skipy, Talaroc, Black Don, Wombat and anyone else who contribute on female graphics all these years, because all their work on female pixelarts will be wasted.
Hopefully, in a alternative dystopian world, our next content leader Matt can create a Collection of Deleted Stuff and bring peace back to this socialism nest...

This is just shear arrogance to give more credit for a thing to a certain group than others. Never before has a TMW dev existed (except maybe wombat) so open to change. I've contributed to pretty much all the things; various servers, M+, TMWA, Server-data, tools, website and client-data editing. I think only a few devs ever managed to contribute something to all. Trained up a few people as well and had help from some elders.

• So much much more I don't even remember doing that I did
• Did it all with the help of many others

Yet somehow Older devs who haven't touched anything in years have priority opinions?

Wushin is perfectly aware of the situation of TMW, better than most. Wushin has talked to almost everyone involved in the project, from Elven to Platy.

The problem came from always being "expected" to be the one doing. Yes, it's open source, yes the community matters, but those making commits and changes get more voice because they are doing and fixing. If I'm guilty of anything it's being lazy.

Just a small correction it was written by pateame not SDN.

Firstly I think TMW should make the game more "Dev friendly", I told that several times in the IRC already, and every time (as I expect is going to happen now) I get attacked and mocked by some offended devs, also starting with the development is not an easy thing, and when you ask in the IRC you seem to be annoying rather of feeling welcome.

Care to elaborate? cause thats entirely not my exprience. i saw meko join the dev team without any issues, Cassy didn't know a thing about development when she joined (except for drawing, correct me if i am wrong) and learned everything from wushin, chay, o11c, v0id... wojtek asks none related technical questions on irc and gets answers, he even said that we are the most friendly tech support channel, lol.
If you feel uncomfortable when talking with someone from tmwc, talk to the other tmwc members you feel comfortable talking to, maybe we can correct it.

I'm speaking purely from my opinion and that's what I felt overall.my experiences. They do help, but haven't felt welcome to do so.

I only mentionated people who worked on "graphics/sprites/base/female.png" file as https://github.com/themanaworld/tmwa-cl ... icense.txt shows... What happened after model creation wasn't part of the original community history, but TMWc riot's age.
Maybe Fother_J and Strealyn did pixelart contributions for sprite 1.5, but the rest of the "highly capable team" just did modifications to make it harder to edit for new pixelartists: Things like dyeable palletes, mirrored animations, bad placements in copy/pasted frames and now decapitations.

Sprite 1.5 was "utterly bugged", ¿that's why you are deleting it now?
It was your choice to skip fixing the sprite 1.5 argumenting that delete the problem is healthy than solve it due lack of artists in the project. ¿Really?
Even having new drawed items for sprite 1.5, TMW never used the new attack frames included (attack_2hand, attack_spear and attack_chop) neither introduced new weapons due the already knowed bugs in sprite 1.5.
It's like if we were using the old spritesheet all this time...

The final solution was to overestimate the community skills over you own skills and suppose people aren't able to follow a workpath to reach a long-term goal.
Personally, I think after all these years of altruism in a opensource project we all got personality disorders... That's why people leave this project after some time

Not deleting it cause it's utterly bugged. It was literally more frames than we wanted. If deleting the utterly bugged was the case We all should have deleted TMW in 2004.

Anw, i think there is no points of arguing about this matter anymore if it's already done and sets in 7 days ahead. Let just see what Tezer can do, or anyone who might help him. I don't have enough technical knowledges about this game, so again, I can't be much help. But whatever the outcome, the game must go on.
