Analog joystick

I tried connecting a XBox 360 to my pc today... what I noticed was that TMW has trouble with analog sticks. You can't walk diagonal and you can only walk if you push the stick in a directio close to the direction you want to walk. So between East and South nothing happens.
I could attack, sit and pick up items. Didn't figure out how to target though. But it worked pretty well... we need a XBox 360 port on the long term. And all other consoles with internet connection! :P

Buy me all the consoles and i see what i can do.

By the way: The PS3 can run linux (sony even provides tools and hints for doing this). Although without OpenGL support. But tmw should run on it in software mode.

Does the XBOX 360 controller works with other PC games?
Did you try calibrating it?

Oh Crush I guess you mean PS2

Yes and yes.
Before calibrating it it didn't work that well.
I tried it with other games...
It worked well with Grid Wars, after calibrating it. It's a Geometry Wars clone for the PC.
I also tried it with ZSnes (or was it Snes9x?, anyway...), setting up the joystick only for up, down, left and right worked for diagonal as well.
But it probably worked so well because I plugged it in in XP and windows directly started to download the drivers. Didn't assume it would run in Linux.

I see, anyway it's even possible on the PS2.
