All,

Once again I'm sorry about the delay, work has been crazy with all these projects. :(

I have the entire week off (almost) so I'll be working on the GUI. I have several unfinished menus, documents, and other items I need to work on.

In the meantime here is a sample of what I've been working on. If you want to see a full sized (800x600) version of this image go to http://www.g3s.com/tmw/v2_Gui_Large.jpg

Let me know what you guys think.

Okay guys here you go... the newest version... Like I said I have some free time this week and next so I'm hoping to finalize the new GUI and start putting it into the game.

Again, here is a link to a full-sized version:

Feedback is welcome as I'm still tweaking. :)

(BTW: The actual "Action Icons" are going to change, these are just place holders while I work out the design).

Wow

Can't find the words to express how much I like it! :D
I hope we can add it as soon as possible.

I've seen a 'x' somewhere, I guess it's to close the dialog, but the Allegro's GUI system, doesn't support it, so I'm asking: are you going to code something for this GUI? Else I should make a new GUI system (code part) by myself or find a lib or find someone to do it!

PM: is your email working? I tryed to send you some emails to your sf and g3s accounts getting some errors. Please give me a valid email address or a way to contact you(your ICQ number is wrong?)

Looks like an amazing job you're doing there krismichael.

I recently joined the development team and we plan to switch TMW over to SDL and some of its extensions. For the GUI now have in mind to use Guichan, which will replace the current Allegro GUI code. The plan is to plug in your look at feel into that.

I'm already making some changes, so I'll look at GUICHAN and see what I need to do to make it more compatable.

Otherwise I'm thinking of custom code for this. I already have it in mind of what we need. :)

Not really any need to look at Guichan, it should do whatever we want. It doesn't support themes, so there's no theming system to take into account. We draw everything the way we like it.

Guichan helps a lot in getting the basics of acceptable GUI down, at least three programmers are now working on switching our Allegro GUI powered code over to Guichan. I don't think it's a good idea to code it ourselves.

Well then I won't bother doing any code instead of I'll just quickly review the documentation and make sure what I design works within that architecture.

Personally I don't care about user customization. I think it's okay that we design 1 GUI for all users. :)

I just want to make sure that GUI looks great. :)
