The purpose of this is to show which parts of walkable tiles must be drawn as walkable terrain to look right and which parts can include edges of non-walkable terrain or objects that you would not stand or sit on.
It is also indicates what sprite poses and positioning is guaranteed to be compatible with any walkable terrain that follows the same guide.

The second image shows what parts the sprite would walk though if allowed (excluding diagonals).

This image is based on the existing sprite sets.
I made it simpler and symmetrical as a long term reference, even though the existing sprites have varying centres and non-symmetrical poses.
I have also assumed in the case of sitting poses that no weight is put on the toes, so they overhang slightly left or right.
